Trip to Nassau (part 2)

The trip continues...
The week before we came on this trip Joss started pulling himself up. So, he perfected the skill over the week on the boat. The only time he could really get down and crawl was when he was in his play pin...so he was pulling up A LOT :)

The marina has a very nice pavillion up on a high point and we enjoyed a few sunsets and sunrises up here. There is an awesome 360 degree view of the island, so it really is breath taking up there. Plus-- it's in the shade :)

Joss and I were pretty inseparable this week!! Like I said earlier...I couldn't really just put him down to crawl in the sand or on the wooden docks or on the boat with all the stairs, etc...so he was either in my arms, in his stroller or temporarily being held by someone else. He was pretty clingy around new faces. But anyway, I loved all the time (as usual) that I got with him. We took many naps in this hammock and just took it easy in the shade on the beach. It's funny because I get stuck on 2 or 3 songs when I'm trying to sit and sing with him-- poor little guy, I'm sure he gets bored with mommy's praise and worship! At least he doesn't seem to care just yet.
I love this shot of me and him at sunset.....just couldn't help but share it :)
And of course this cute pic of him with his hat, rash guard and sunscreen--- "I'm ready to go mommy!!"
Every time we are at Highbourne Cay cleaning fish at the end of the dock there is a swarm of sharks (nurse sharks= good; reef sharks=bad) feeding off the scraps. Apparently the "bad" sharks are getting out of control and starting to bother folks on the beach... so the owners asked Dallas and the guys to catch some of the bad sharks and get rid of them. "You Sharkin' I'm Sharkin'" (thought you guys would like that one). So the hunt was on. The first hook that went over resulted in this catch....
Andrew with his conquest
Dallas cleaning up the mess of their "kills"...He definitely knows his way around a fish :)
The "BIG" catch of the week was this loggerhead turtle. It took every ounce of strength that these four men could muster to get this big guy (or girl) up in their boat. They were all so exhausted after this particular day of spearing and hunting. Don't worry--- they only catch them, take pictures and then send them on their merry way.
Joss was okay in the first picture I took, then everyone on this side of the camera starting making a fuss over how cute he was and it scared him...
His little cheeks were the only thing that got a little red this week :) He's a good little tanner, and has a sweet little tan now. And oh yeah-- his 3rd and 4th bottom teeth cut through on the last day of this trip, so we have a mouth of 8 teeth in all now---OUCHIE for mommy!

He partied his little heart out this week, and was glad to be back in his crib today!! SWEET SWEET SWEET BOY!!!
