Sorry I've been a little slow at getting more pics up. Things have been in a whirlwind the past few weeks and we are just now starting to slow down. On the 16th of December, Dallas left out on his first guided kayak trip of the season (we've already done tons of rentals, but this is the first one that he's gone out on). The trip went really well. They had to come in a day early and get rescued out there because the wind picked up so much and these paddlers were pretty inexperienced, but everyone got in safe and happily.
Then it was Joss' b-day (21st) :) We kept things very simple, and Joss was just having a ball hearing "YES" to everything!

As many of you have heard us mention before, Joss LOVES the moon and stars. You see his routine Star Belly in the picture above :) Well, we figured that we would try to be creative and surprise our little man with a room full of stars when he came out on his birthday.

I think Dallas did a pretty good job of hanging these all over the place. We got a very sweet reaction on video the morning we took him out there :) "Tars, tars, moore tars, ooooo tars"

Joss wasn't crazy about opening presents. I don't think he liked the attention on him like that (at least not in that way). He opened a few once he got a little peek at what was inside, but he was very hesistant (this was the same thing for Christmas day too).
Dallas' parent's flew in for the week on the 21st too and stayed through Christmas.

On the 26th, Dallas' folks went back to Nassau and my parent's flew in. On the 27th Dallas left again for a guided trip, a sailing one this time. He is back now, my parent's are back in Bama, and we are trying to catch our breaths (and still looking for a new place to live). It's been crazy, but lots of fun with everyone coming and going. Here's a couple shots from the fun :)
We have a family tradition where everyone get's new pj's on Christmas Eve to wear Christmas Day. Here's the boys in their new pj's with their babies, Poe & Moe :) Joss wasn't about to take his eyes off of his VeggieTales for the pic, but we at least smiled for me.

Checking out a few of his new toys-- I love how he has them all looking at him :)

Emit is trying to figure out what this unwrapping thing is all about :) I just love his expression here.

These are Emit's goggles from Nana & Papa, but Joss wanted to try them on. He wore them around the place for a while :) They smell like cotton candy!

Joss has passed on his Santa suit to Emit. Emit actually fits it a lot better than Joss did. Granted, Joss was only 4 days old when he wore it :) Where does the time go??
We had a wonderful Christmas, a very Happy New Year and we are off to an exciting start for 2010. I'll get my holiday letter's in the mail soon :) Just trying to find some time. Hope you all are well and enjoying 2010 so far. Love, hugs and blessings all around!!!

The stars were a great idea! Have you read the Sneetches by Dr. Seuss? They wear stars on their bellies. But then it tells a story about being exclusive, so it doesn't really apply. But the stars on Joss's belly reminded me of it. Emit is so cute with those big eyes. :) Great pics!

Erika, the star on his belly started with the Star Belly Sneetches and One Fish, Two Fish :) The fascination has stuck for sure!
