The Mako

Dallas has been working on the Mako this week. I've had my own projects that have been going on inside, but he's been working like crazy fixing this Ole Gal up so we can sell her. She had about 4 layers of paint piling up on her, so of course the first step was to sand it down and get it ready for a fresh coat.
Inside and out...

Joss has been interested in the whole process of course. He's seen it go from the "Big Boat" to the "Big Blue Boat" :)

He really has been working hard and I think he did a fantastic job. All of our neighbors that were driving back and forth were watching the process too, and they were telling him how good it was looking now. Most of them couldn't believe he was doing it himself instead of paying someone else to do it. That made me very proud of my man :)
So here she is in all her new found glory! I don't know if it's fair to call her "9 Lives" now... I think she has gained a few back since we got her. She's been good, but we are praying someone else will come along very soon so we can get new engines on our "new" boat.....

She needs her share of TLC too, but Dallas is thrilled to get his hands on this one. The World Cat (we're still debating names now)!
