As the title states, I'm playing the never ending game of catch-up on this blog. I was hoping that the summer months would help me get caught up, but that may not happen quite as easy as I had planned...but that's actually good news... I'll get to that a little later though :)
I wanted to put a quick shot up of one of the headboards I did for a lady down here a few months ago. Just documenting the projects. I was bummed I forgot to get one before I took them to her, but this was better than nothing.
Next we have the wettest launch day to-date. I drove the boat up and Dallas was there with the guests when I got there. I was pulling into the docks as the rain was chasing me. As I got closer about 6 of our guests came running out (in the rain) to help me get the lines tied off and secure the boat. It wasn't a scary situation or anything really nerve wracking, but it was pouring down rain, and we have had groups of folks in the past that just sit there and let you lift and do all the work all by yourself as they sit there and watch. I knew Dallas was going to have a great group that week!
Little did I know the down pour that started that Sunday morning wasn't going to stop until Tuesday. Now, I know it isn't any 40 Days sort of thing, but 2 full day of rain that keep a group grounded under a shade tarp is pretty stressful for me. Luckily I had some good company to keep me entertained so I didn't lose my mind waiting for text updates saying "we're fine. huddled under shade tarp. still raining. now we have thunder....." etc.
Emit is giving his play dough a hug in the shot of him above :)
All the rain gave the boys and me a couple fun "down days" inside. Who doesn't enjoy a little time to just chill and watch a good movie or play some of their Daddy's X-box games :)
It cracks me up how they sit on the table like this. Always as close as they can get to each other. Meanwhile, out at sea....
Nevertheless, the sun did show itself again and the group was all smiles and happy to be sailing!
Well, mostly sailing that is. On one of the calmest days of the trip some of the guys managed to capsize right off a beach. Nobody really knows how it went, but ta-dah... here's what our boats look like in the water in a "What Not To Do!" kind of way :)
Luckily, this capsize was a very easy one to recover. Nothing was lost and nothing was broken...ANSWERED PRAYER! Trust me, I pray my tush off over gear on these trips, and that was definitely a direct answer.
Dallas loved having Andrew on the trip with him... and I think Andrew had a little fun along the way too :)
Back on the homefront we had fun playing, learning, running around in our undies :) I wonder if these have made it up to their CC yet?? They painted them just for you! It just took me a little while to drop them in the mail.
They have definitely enjoyed these little easels. They are messy as all get out, but they are fun to have around when our 'Picasso's' come out to play.
Emit REALLY loves painting. He'll ask to play with the brushes all day. He just likes to carry them around and 'pretend' to paint things. When they get really excited to paint or do anything for that matter, they do this little arm flap and bounce and say "E E E, I so si-tegg!" (I'm so excited). We can pretty predict when the flapping will begin :)
My little sweethearts!
We get to spend time with Raelyn (Lyndsay & O'Neil's little girl) every now and then and the boys always get excited. Most of the time she is asleep in her seat when she gets to us and the boys get all up in her face just waiting for her to open her eyes a bit to peek at them. Then they are laughing like crazy because she looked at them. Joss said something the other day that scared me and cracked me up at the same time. We were talking about having new friends come over to hang out with them. Joss told Emit, "you can play with all the yittle boy friends and I get to play with all the yittle girls, okay?" Yikes, I'm in trouble in a few more years :)
Our newest little walking advertisements :) They love sleeping in 'big' shirts now instead of the full pj sets. They really love it when I give them one of my shirts to sleep in. They are so adorable in them too.
I will be back soon, as usual...

I love your yittle guys! They are so stinking cute! Love you! We will have internet some time Sunday if you want to FaceTime. :) Give the boys some hugs and kisses for me.
Well, rainy days could sure take a toll on sailing - glad the sun came out to brighten the trip...and very glad no damage was done when the boat was flipped! Love the way the boys sit close together and then got busy painting...they JUST arrived, June 12, and Poppy and CC LOVE their beautiful art! Jossy writing his name and ours is AWESOME :0)
