Crazy Fun

On my Florida trip, I found this little blue backpack that Emit is wearing and it has a picture of Sonic on it. They wear that thing ALL the time. They have just recently started putting things inside it to carry around, but most of the time it is empty.
One thing I was able to get out of our garden was some yummy carrots.
They were pretty little, but they were really good! I wasn't able to get too many inside the house before the boys ate them up. But I'm glad they were eating something good for them :)
Working on some paintings for CC & Poppy one day.
I am so glad we are past this point on the shed. The roof seemed to take FOREVER! I just love how Chris (inside the shed) is sporting my pink and floral tool belt ;)
Tired fella--when did he get so big??
One afternoon the boys wanted to take me to the spot where Joel likes to take them for Sunday School. Ann Ligon, Joel, Dallas and I take turns with the kids for Sunday School lessons during our church service. This picture below was them doing Sunday School one morning with the Morton boys. Well, Joss anyway, Emit took a little longer figuring out that Sunday School was a fun time :)
So Joss and Emit wanted to show me this cool spot Joel took them to one morning.
They had to 'show me the way' because I didn't know how to get there. It was cute following their instructions.
It is a little dirt road just up passed our house, and still comes out to Hooper's Bay (which is the beach we walk to from our house). It's just a little further up the beach than we usually play at. We're usually down there by or beyond the docks.
Joss showing me where they sat.
And then we had to climb on the thing that made this place so much fun. This 'really cool tree wif lots of branches!'
Joss still loves climbing trees. It's one of his favorite things to do. Today we were out on the boat and it was storming around us and we could see some lightening off in the distance. His big concern was that the lightning was going to strike his favorite tree and kill it. Mason (our neighbor) told him that lightning struck a big tree in the bush behind our house (may or may not be true) and now he's afraid it's going to hit his.
I LOVE OUR BEACH!!! It is such a beautiful beach to be able to walk to whenever we want! Truly Blessed!
I took the opportunity to snap a few photos for our praise sets too :) I love driftwood! I will have more driftwood decor in our home when we own a place someday.
I love this one of the shell and blues and greens too :)
Emit likes to climb too, but he doesn't get too far off the ground.
My little stinker!
We were getting more and more "toys what got some wheels" as my boys used to say, so I wanted to make them a designated parking spot on the porch. Mainly to keep our stuff out of the rain and driveway, but also so they could help me keep it a little tidier on the porch. They have done really well putting things back here. Joss always runs his stuff up as soon as he is finished playing on it because he's afraid it's going to get rusted...but Emit still leaves his around because it is harder for him to get it up and down the stairs on the porch. I'll help him get it up and he knows right where to park it!
During our work on the shed, we also moved our kayak rack over here in our backyard. Instead of tearing the whole thing down, we hired this truck to help us move it in bigger parts.
Well, you better believe if there's a big truck nearby we're gonna ask for a ride! The boys and I were inside doing school and Dallas yelled for us to come out.
It was pretty loud and jumpy at first so they didn't quite know if they liked it.
We were all smiles before long though, and don't worry we were just barely going on the little dirt road behind our house :)
We got off before he got too far away from our place so we wouldn't have to walk back as far. They were a little bummed when it pulled off.
My little climber!!!
I was so happy to get the shed door finished :) I knew I wanted to add a little more eye appeal to this piece because we don't have anything else on the front wall. No windows or anything else, and I wanted a big ole barn door. I love how it turned out!
My favorite part is the handle :) Also known as a boat cleat!
The herringbone effect took about two days to cut all those little pieces, but it was worth it! It was a beast to pick up and get on the tracks. Took me, Dallas and Chris all three to pick it up on the tracks.
The inside finally coming together. I posted these a while ago on Facebook when we finished, but I still want them on here to document with the rest of our happenings. I am so happy to see some new tents and new spray jackets in this picture :)

We got some new spray skirts soon after that are very nicely displayed now too. It's a con$tant challenge to keep all the gear up-to-date and nice. For next season, we are hoping to get another double kayak or two, new life jackets and new snorkel gear. Plus the gear we have to buy every season.
We had one really fun afternoon of helicopters and ramps.
It's tricky because we have two 'helicopters' (one for Emit and one for Joss), but there are often 5 boys out here playing...so we have to find fun ways to keep the fighting at bay.
They all did really well sharing and taking turns this day. LOL, this picture below with Caleb and Hagen cracks me up. :)
Joss taking the wheel! This was before our haircuts... they both have such long hair in this post.
Emit did really well steering and staying on the ramps. He didn't want to ride with anyone though. I think he has trust issues...for good reason :)
This activity lasted a while, so I have lots of pictures.
We have video footage too of the excitement.
This is a daily look after a day of playing outside!
Emit was the best at making it around the sharp curve and to the end of the ramp. I think it helped that he was the lightest.
Here's a full view of the ramp. Start at the top of the stairs, down the driveway, down the second ramp, over the 'bridges' and to the ramp and the end!
This is how the big boys went off the end.
Emit had to have his tongue out to get it to work for him apparently. See the mess in the driveway. This was during our moving sheds transition--AHHHHH mess everywhere all the time. We still have piles of scrap wood all over the place that we're sorting through and using up and getting ready to toss.
Cute Morton Boys!
Happy Joss with the windblown hairdo!
Joss & Caleb
Dallas' parents came to visit a couple months ago and when they came, Great Grandpa D & Great Grandma Muh sent the boys a $100 to the boys so they could treat everyone to a dinner out one night (and a little left over fun). The boys thought that was pretty awesome :) We sent D & Muh a copy of their photo here!
Nana & Papa also brought Dallas' (and his brother's and sister's) Lego collection. Don't worry, we'll be happy to pass some along to you guys when you're ready for them... there's TONS!!!!!
The boys have been running on a Lego high ever since :)
Ahh, we finally got some haircuts! Emit wanted his cut like Daddy this time, I LOVE the buzz look!!!! Joss kept his a little longer on this cut, but soon after got his buzzed too.
The Legos have definitely added to our independent play time. They do really well coming up with things to build and finding the pieces they need for it. Most of the time they build Rocket Blasters or Jet Bombers of some kind.
Congratulations... you've reached the end of another LONG post :)
