The boys and I took advantage of our friend, Ann Ligon , a couple weeks ago while Daddy was out on a trip and 'kidnapped' her one morning to go kayaking while her boys were in school. My boys are so funny when it comes to Ann Ligon. They LOVE her to pieces. And any time we give them something special or they get a new treat they always beg to go run over and show Ann Ligon. If you read this Liggy, know you are super special to my guys :)
We had fun exploring this low tide area across from our usual beach on this Moriah Cay paddle.
There were fun little sink holes, crab holes, and fun things to discover.
I love Joss' expression below. Makes me laugh when I see looks like these. Those little wheels in his head are just spinning.
These guys could keep me laughing all day long!!! We were in town the other day waiting for someone and they were playing in the back of our truck. Before long some other little boys came running over to play with us, but before they joined in the fun, a lady went walking by across the street. HOPEFULLY out of earshot. One of them said, "Look! That lady has a chicken on her head." You can imagine some of the hairstyles these guys see around here, but this one was pretty out there and spiky and had some orange in it. They really thought for a minute she was wearing a chicken on her head.
Emit LOVES to dress himself. He doesn't like for me to tell him what to wear, and he is still trying to figure out how to put all the clothes on the right way. A few weeks back, every time he would put on his big boy pants, at least the brief style ones, he would put them on backwards. It makes me think of little cheeky bottoms and it is so cute. I kind of miss that he doesn't put them on that way anymore :)
There is definitely never a dull moment with these two around...NeVeR!!!
Summertime is officially here on the island! I know that may sound funny to some of you out there that we actually have months on a tropical island that don't feel like 'summer', but living here year around you can tell a big difference in the times of the year and there are most definitely some months that we are not in the water a whole lot because it just feels too cold.
Even now when it is a little cloudy and windy it can still feel chilly in the water, but we 'suffer' through it ;)
Emit is SWIMMING! He puts his little head in the water and can do a few freestyle strokes and make forward progress in the water. He still needs to get used to floating like a starfish (floating on his back with his arms and legs spread wide), but he is doing AWESOME!
Before this summer is over, he will for sure be swimming confidently!
They love playing on these little floats we 'stole' from CC & Poppy's pool :)
"Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name."
