Chocolate Kisses

The good news....I'm posting :)
The bad news....I'm still stuck in 2013! I refuse to QUIT.
This was just a day that we all wanted to bake a cake...for no other reason but to get our sugar fix! I'm pretty sure Dallas was gone to the Harbour Island Regatta and they used him coming home as a reason to make a yummy cake, I'll buy it! I've asked Dallas to write-up the post for the regatta... he was there and took tons of pictures.
I was getting well underway into my Greenheart Kitchen project... this too will take months to complete, but at least now I just need to complete my photos on it, not the actually building. I set up shop out in the driveway one week when I was cutting and ripping so many of the boards. It was a long, hot week!
I had to get a picture of my quick square here because Joss wrote on it one day and I wanted to remember my little helpers from early on. Of course, it has broken since this photo, so I'm very glad I snapped this picture when I did!
Always cute when my naked boys are running around. But this time they were covered in paint from helping me all day on a project. The picture immediately above on the couch is during our morning devotional time. I love this time and I love starting our days off as a family in devotion and prayer. Such a precious time that we plan to continue as long as possible.
You think my blog is a mess and out of whack these days.. check out the mess on my porch I was working around. YIKES!!! This makes me stressed just looking at it. Too many things going all at once. Luckily now it is in much better shape, but hopefully it won't get a chance to get back to this point. Holy Overwhelming Mess Batman!
We were due for some immunizations for Joss and a check-up for Emit. We have been holding out hope for our new hospital to open, but I finally just took them to our current clinic and I'm glad I did. This was back in November and it still isn't opened yet, now it's June. Joss was so determined to not cry. I never told him he couldn't, but he wanted to be a big boy and show how brave he was. Emit was very thankful he didn't have to get a shot, but they were so cute and very good for me. We went for ice cream right after because they were awesome little patience. As soon as we got in the car to go grab our cold treat, Joss started crying over his shot. I felt so bad for him, and that he felt he had to hold it in. The ice cream magically made it all better though!
My little yard ninjas with their battle weapons of choice! Emit tucked his stick down the back of his shirt all by himself. I thought that was pretty clever and creative. Love these little stinkers!
