Joss has been mumbling a lot of things lately :) Beyond the Momma and Dadda that he has down pat...he sometimes tries to say "bye" "Dixie" "Bev" "Ball" and he's working hard on calling my mom "CC". You can see his little lips trying to figure it all out. I can only imagine how many things we're going to try to get him to say once he really gets going :) He's so sweet! We'll say things and you can tell he's just watching our lips trying to see how to do that with his own. It's so cute!! Here's a little video of him saying "DIXIE" (or at least his version of it).The other day Bev and Kevin taught him how to "kiss". If you make a kissing sound with your lips and say "Gimme kiss" he has started doing it back :) He sucks his little cheeks in like he's making a fish face and then makes the kissing sound. (Like this)
Tonight my dad was holding him and he was looking at me and my dad was trying to get him to say "bye" and wave. He likes to stick his little hand out and then just hold it there... and he said "bye" and did that :) It was the first time he did them both at the same time. I got really excited! He he he how fun it is being a mommy!
He recently got some new toys from some folks, and he has enjoyed playing with them. He's still a little small to just play on them the right way, but with a close hand right behind him...or someone holding them in place he manages to have a good ole time.

Well, I booked our flights to Exuma tonight! Tuesday is definitely the cheapest day to book a flight. I've heard that before, but it never really made a difference until tonight! Holy Cow!!! I looked at prices last week, and they were double what I just paid. PRAISE THE LORD. And since we were able to get ours at a discounted price, we got my mom a ticket too. With Joss, two cats and our luggage, we thought it might be nice to have an extra set of hands going down there. Grammy CC to the rescue! I hope we don't have to work her too hard :)
We all fly out on Halloween (31st)! I can't believe how close it already is. I've been doing some last minute shopping for the business, and I've got boxes coming in left and right with stuff I've ordered. Hopefully we'll have everything we need to operate right away.
Please keep us in your prayers...I've been telling everyone I have a minor panic attack everyday and just want to sit down and cry for a minute or two...but I want to be excited and enjoy this new adventure! Thank you all for your support so far. Hope to see you in Exuma soon :)

Hey Tamara! (This is Laurie by the way, I know it will say Brett). Joss is so cute, he looks just like Dallas but without the facial hair! Don't you just love being a mom? It is great to see babies experience everything in life for the first time. You seem like a great mom! I hope you have fun down in the Bahamas, and good luck with your new business. Sounds like a real adventure!
