Okay, so I really need to get better about posting things on here more regularly than every 2-3 weeks. Things are actually really busy for us right now, so that's a huge blessing. When Joss is awake... there's not much time to do anything else and when he's sleeping I'm trying to catch up on work emails or do stuff work related it seems (plus housework--and it's a mess around here)!
Joss is all over the place these days. He's definitely fearless when it comes to pretty much anything. He's started climbing up on the beds--- AHH--scary for mommy to see. So if he's out of our site for a second...we're pretty much running in terror to see what he's up to. Because now that he's climbing up, he thinks he can climb down, and that doesn't always end well (you might see some of the little bruises to prove that).
Right now for instance he is here next to me playing (I know I shouldbe playing with him instead of doing this... but he's having fun with his toys and eating some crackers). He's started doing this thing where he walks around backwards. He gets the biggest kick out if though. Its so cute because he takes the smallest little steps and just goes all over the place walking backwards. If I could only tell what he was thinking. Other times he'll throw a blanket or towel over his head and slowly walk around while I'm sitting there saying "go slow--be careful-- you better watch out for the door" (and things like that). He thinks it's so funny for some reason.
The other day we took him for his first little ride in the kayak. The water is getting warmer, and we had a really calm day to get out safely with him along the beach. He was so cute when we were putting the kayak in the water... he wanted to help daddy every step of the way. Here he is helping him push the kayak down the beach (you think he was having a good time or what?).
He was fascinated by the paddle-- that's all he wanted to play with. He kept throwing it off the kayak and then watching it float away...but not too far because then he wanted us to bring it back of course. It was a fun outting!!
So I think he'll be in a kayak a lot more from here on out--- he'll be paddling before me know it I'm sure. This little kayak is going to be his own personal one when he's older!
The other day I got my new glider :) Everything like this pretty much has to be shipped (or flown) to us down here. There's a few different options we have to get stuff to us. Like for instance Dallas' folks sent us a bucket of KFC chicken the other day on a flight :) What a treat-- there are NO chain restaurants down here.. much less fast food places. We brought back 4 foot longs from Subway yesterday.. but I'll talk about that trip in another posting. My point about mentioning the glider was that it came in a really great fort box :) So Joss helped Daddy assemble something he could play in for a while.....
He had a lot of fun inside it, but he had even more fun when he realized he was strong enough to tip it over and climb in it upside down (or technically, right side up). I think he had the most fun just pushing it around and tipping it over and over and over :)
And of course he's still having fun drumming with Daddy on Rock Band! Our days are never boring-- that's for sure!
I'll post a couple pics of Joss' baby brother or sister soon. We had our first ultrasound the other day. Due Date is September 3rd!!!!

How cool that you're farther along with baby #2 than you thought. That sure beats the alternative, doesn't it?
Also, I LOVE your beach pics. Your every day life looks like everyone else's dream vacations.
Splash around a little for me.
