Very Simple Days!

Our daily routines here in Nassau are very low key. It's not that that's a bad thing (especially in this heat and this far into my pregnancy)...but some days I feel kind of bad for Joss. I never thought I'd be so thankful for our apartment in George Town as I am right now. In all my moments of wishing we were in a house and had a bigger place, I never really appreciated the smaller space for this stage in Joss' life. I can close off two doors at home and he has a nice big open space of the living room and kitchen to run free in. Not the case here in this big, old house. There's lots of places for him to get hurt and into stuff, so we're usually in his room or our room for the most part. He's taking things in stride though, and being a good little trooper.

For some excitement, we have gone to Atlantis a couple days to walk around and see the aquariums and "pish". Dallas had fun the other day going on the slides with one of our friends we randomly ran into that was staying there. It's the best place around here we've found to walk around with Joss in the stroller... they've got indoor and outdoor spaces to walk as well as LOTS of air conditioned places :)

Another cool thing about being over there around this time is that all the Miss Universe contestants are there doing preliminary things and site-seeing around the Bahamas. We caught a glimpse of Miss China, Australia, Iceland, Syprus, New Zealand, and a few others. There have been caravans of police cars escorting these ladies all over the island. The contest is the 23rd I believe. They are supposed to be going to George Town and some of the other out-islands for some excursions, so it should be neat to see what all they show in the broadcast.

Needless to say, Joss is more interested in the fish and sea critters more than the pretty ladies walking around :) These little outtings have definitely done a number on me though... I'm pooped at the end of the day.

Joss' eating is still a fun little challenge :) He still doesn't eat much when he finds something he likes (which is even more rare), but he's starting to TRY more things a least. His favorite right now is rotini pasta with cheese on top. Nana made him his own little hamburger the other day (above) that he chewed on for a bit. I think he ate more of the bread than anything, but he still seemed to enjoy it.

This is me in all my glory right now! I'm 36 weeks according to my due date, and praying that I'm a little further than that even :) You can see my belly button poking out a bit, and Dallas keeps pushing it saying it's my "eject" button. It never poked out quite this much with Joss, but it started poking early with Emit. He's definitely riding low right now, and moving around A LOT. Hopefully we'll be updating very soon on his arrival... but we'll see when he's ready!?

Food battles are the worst! Good luck getting Joss to eat. You look great. :) My belly button doesn't pop like yours and my friend asked how I knew when I was done? Hahaha! She says hers is like that thing that pops out on turkeys when they are done. We're just waiting around hoping for our little one to come too. I'm getting IMPATIENT!
