A little walk in our shoes...

It has officially begun :) Potty Training!!! Yikes, you hear horror stories, but we're hoping for a good time with it. We're starting off very casual and just letting him get used to his "Royal Potty" (this thing plays triumphant music when the 'deed' has been done!!). So far we're off to a good start. When he see's it, he'll say "pee" and lift his shirt and try to take off his shorts and diaper. So we'll ask him if he needs to go and he'll say "Yesh". This is usually after his diaper is already falling off of him. Anyone that has spent anytime with Joss knows he can put away some milk and juice, so he usually has pretty impressive wet diapers. Nonetheless--- he's gone tinkle a few times in his potty--he likes the music :) It is crazy how fast this little guy seems to be growing right now. I know Joss is growing just as fast, but Emit is physically changing everyday it seems. He's already about 13lbs and about 24inches. In no time he's going to be up and running right along side Joss.
I love taking pictures of him outside looking around. His eyes are so big and full of curiosity. Joss' are the same way, but I can't get him to sit still long enough for me to get this kind of shot :)
Dallas is back into full swing with kayak and sailboat rentals. Of course this also means that Joss is into full swing with exploring the "ty-acks" (kayaks) and "say-boats" (sailboats). That is when he manages to find time in between playing in the "Beeeg boat" (big boat) or going "ice-sise" (outside) or climbing "up-a-tairs" (up the stairs).
Joss is my little outside explorer right now. Lately when we go in to get him out of bed in the morning, he is ready to GO. After we're greeted with a "hhhiiiii mum, hey" or "hhhiiiiiii dadden, hey" it is usually quickly followed by "ice-sise" which is his way of saying outside. He isn't always happy to hear that we'll go out in a little bit, but a bribe of a cup of milk and Back-Backs will buy us a little time :)
Emit is observing everything going on around him. He's got a sweet little smile and talks up a storm when he's really happy. It's the sweetest little sound. He's been doing it on cue it seems whenever I get on the phone these days. I was talking to a client yesterday and he was just cooing like crazy. I just laughed and told her my youngest was trying to say hi to her.
Our afternoon routine this past week has been going out in the boat for a bit. Yesterday we had a beautiful sunset on the sandbank that we were able to enjoy. This time of day is always a peaceful time to be out on the water, but this little outting was really nice and relaxing. The boys were great and just happy to be on the boat.
Me and the boys just enjoying the scenery. I was trying to teach Joss a little thing for him to do when we ask him what a sharks does...but all he got from it was the sound "duh-dunt, duh-dunt" :) I was trying to get him to put his hands over his head too...we'll get there!
FAMILY PHOTO :) Wooohooo!!! Very rarely do we get a chance with all four of us.
We are so very blessed with these two boys...I feel like I'm gonna go nuts at times when it gets crazy, but when it's good.... it'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
PS--I'm jealous of all of you going to watch New Moon--you stink! I'll have to watch it on iTunes when it's released--no theatres on this rock. Enjoy!

The pictures are just adorable! And Emit is 13 pounds... that's pretty awesome. Margot is 9.5. She's a peanut.
I especially love the picture of Emit in the wagon and Joss touching his head. They're going to be thick as thieves. It makes me think about having another baby sooner rather than later. But then something around here happens to snap me back to reality. You're one strong mama, T.T.!
