We've been in the water A LOT these days. With crawfish season opening, the summer heat blazing and company to keep us busy, we've had lots of chances to swim around with the fishies.
Dallas was having fun swimming around under Joss the other day while we were at the underwater cave. Joss was having fun watching for Daddy and seeing him go under :)
These days Emit is my little shadow. He tends to hang really close to me when we're around the other kids for sure, but he is also in his "I don't want you...I want my mommy" stage. Which I find both adorable and very tiring, but it's sweet to know that I can comfort him in a very special and personal way right now.
I'm not sure if it has had anything to do with the kids moving in next door or not, but Joss has been much better about sharing with Emit and not pushing him around this past week. He is learning to share because the boys all have cool little cars and trucks that Joss really likes and wants to play with, so he's say "Share Me" to them when he wants them to share with him. We're still working on him sharing in return...but he's doing very well. And I'm very happy that he's doing better with Emit. They get each other laughing so often right now. Emit has this sweet little cackle almost that he does and Joss will just bust out laughing to it. Emit see's the reaction he gets from Joss and makes the sound again. Joss laughs again, and well you get the picture here, but it is so sweet to see.
I have a feeling Emit is going to be my little daredevil. He watches Joss with such intensity most of the time just trying to figure out what he's doing and see how he can do it. I have to be very very observant when I sit him down because he walks really fast these days and can get places very quickly. He wants to eat anything we are eating... and if we don't share with Emit, buddy he will let you know his disapproval.
Joss is still my little sweetheart and I am praying so hard that he won't grow too far out of that. He's so loving and kind. Emit is too it is just a little different to compare at his stage versus Joss'. Joss can tell us "I love you, too!" When we say it to him, or he'll just come out and say it to us sometimes when he's really happy. Or sometimes when I tell him he'll reply with a "Love you too much, so much!" Which is really sweet to me too. I guess I'm kind of in a "bragging" mood on them right now, if you don't want to hear... you can just look at the pics :)
Our friends Josh & Saharh visited with us this past week. We had such a great week with them. Things were a little chaotic at times and calm as can be at others. They are pregnant with their first, so of course we had all kinds of fun stuff to talk about. Thank you both for a great week and a wonderful blessing (the 'baby food' was very much appreciated)!
They helped Dallas take the boys to the park the other day while I was doing the grocery run for Dallas' trip this coming week.
We had gone out on the boat earlier this day and the boys wouldn't take a nap for me when we got home... so they are both a little sun-kissed and warn slap out in these couple shots.
Some things I've been meaning to make note of for my own records is a few of Joss' favorite things right now. He loves his: Hippo (of course--- that's been a long time friend already), train set and train toys, his "make a mess" toy set, The Backyardigans, My Little Pony (LOL) and a couple other's that kind of rotate in and out. He loves reading "A Fly Went By" (favorite one right now), "Two Little Trains", "Scuffy the Tugboat", "Gossie", "The Little Red Caboose", and his "train book" (aka the quiet book). He eats Blue Chips (ranch doritos), peanut butter sandwiches, apple juice and milk (anything above and beyond that is a bonus). He likes to say all kinds of stuff, and he will repeat it over and over until you say it back to him.
I just love these little guys! I have some hard days and moments here and there, but these little guys really are great and wonderful and the best sons I could have asked for. I love their personalities and their kind hearts. I love that they love me and Dallas and show it to us.
You guys stay sweet for mommy and daddy! We love you so much!!!!

Our boys are sweet and adorable!!! My heart melts every time I see them or hear their voices. Can you tell I'm a proud Aunt too? Love you! Great blog!
You have such cute boys! That underwater video was cool. :) I'm glad Joss is getting better at sharing, my girls not so much. :)
Oh goodness, I just want to squuuuuueeeeeeeeezzzzzzzeeeee them!!!
They look so tiny and vulnerable in the big blue ocean and sitting on the beach... I know they are having fun and continue to pray for their safety! That's great that they are sharing better and I hope they will always be affectionate - nothing better than hugs and sweet laughter from them!!!
Have a great week and thank you for the time in the water!!!
Love the bragging!! Momma's can brag on their boys, and anyone who comes to your blog loves it, I can assure you!
