So much fun with my boys!!

This week has been very refreshing at times and very dull at others. I've had a bad case of the summer blues lately, but I have still been enjoying the heck out of my little men. There is a "cooler" front coming through right now, so it has been fun to be outside chasing them around instead of sweating the entire time.
I love how affectionate my kids are! I know I've said this before, but you don't always see it in kids, and it is wonderful as a mom to see your kids being sweet to other kids. There is a Haitian woman that works for our landlord, and sometimes she has a little boy with her when they are walking by. Most of the time she doesn't or she walks by when the boys are napping or something, but the other day she walked by and Joss was out riding his bike. He got SO excited when he saw the boy and he looked and me and said, "Go, see him?" He took off running and wrapped his arms, ever so gently, around this little boy and gave him the sweetest hug. He just held one arm around him and kept saying "Hi, boy!" I was one proud momma!!!
This picture below needs a little explanation :) Joss was doing story time in our room and picked up one of my bras. He held one cup over his eye and said "ARRRRR, like a pie-ate (pirate)!" I had to get him to do it again for a picture :)
We went down to the beach for a bit the other day... it's been a couple days since we had gone down there with the windy and rainy weather we've had, and the fun the boys have had just playing in the yard. I got a couple little shots of them playing:
My little juice junkies...
  Brotherly hugs and kisses...
 Sweet Boy Joss...

 Silly Little Emit...

Emit loves chewing on these sand spurs at the beach... I can't keep them out of his mouth.
 My jumping Joss!
 The Knowles Brothers :)
 Emit's dancin' in the 'sun'light!
I went for a walk down our beach the other day when Dallas was hangin out with us for a few minutes. As I was walking I just started praying and talking to the Lord. I said something to Him like, "Okay Lord, I have until I go down this beach and back to hear from you right now and I want to HEAR you talking to me!" I continued to pray a bit and then as I started on my journey back I was facing the direction where I could see my precious little family playing in the distance. As I got closer I had some little legs running down the beach toward me. Joss would stop every few yards to check something out in the sand... I'd hold out my arms and his little legs would start running again. He jumped into my arms, gave me a good little squeeze and said, "I wuv you, mommy!" (Thank You, Lord!!!)
This morning we were able to watch Church Online  with Joss and then started playing some more when Emit woke up from his first nap. We did the usual: walk to the end of the road to get the cars to honk, play in the back of the truck with our toys, riding the bike... and then we decided to go rinse of the big blue slide to see if we should hang on to it still even though Joss is still scared to slide on it.
I saw some soap out on the porch and an idea popped into my head. BUBBLES on the slide :)
Started out like this at first....
(okay, so I was having a TON of fun doing this too if you can't tell)
And it evolved to me sliding too, but Joss was going down the slide all the way from the top (climbing up the back and going down on his own) :)
In case the photos aren't clear... I was having as much fun as he was! Laughter really is the best medicine.
Don't worry, I didn't leave Emit out of all the fun, but I think the bubbles scared him a little bit.
Thank you, little guys, for making mommy laugh harder than I have in a while!!! I love you so much!

What a GREAT week of fun!!! Emit looks so happy to be swimming with the wings. Jossy hugging the little boy is one thing that makes me love him so much - I love his affectionate nature and sweet spirit... Oh my, the pirate patch - got to love his quick wit and imagination, sipping juice, jumping and being brothers - adorable :0) What a wonderful idea to use bubbles on the slide - looks like it was a fun time for all!!!
Poppy and I kept reminding each other to, "look at me, I'm a baby owl, hoo-hoo" while hiking this past weekend!
We love you ALL very much :0) - Mom
