Weekend Rundown time again...

This week was really exciting for us. We took the boat down to get the engines installed. If you can't tell from the picture... Dallas was VERY excited to be towing the boat. She's also getting a fresh paint job on the bottom... she's gonna look GOOD!!!!!
Nap times have been a bit of a struggle lately... and this is where Joss ended up napping the other day. My sweet boy!
 Hippo's Super JOSS :)
I think Emit really enjoys the outside time too. If it's the usual time of the day that we go outside to play and we're still inside he'll bring his shoes to me and kind of grunt at me until I start putting his shoes on or show that I understand what he's asking me. I've seen him a few times trying to put them on himself...it's pretty cute!
We're on our way to feed the turtles here.
Joss has reconnected with Hippo lately... not that he and Hippo ever really had a time of separation, but he's been wanting Hippo to do everything with him all the time right now. He keeps saying that it's Hippo's Birthday (and then we have to sing to him). I was trying to remember when my baby shower for Joss was, and I think it was actually around October 21st (2007), so maybe it really was Hippo's B-day (at least when he was born into our family) :)
The boys were so sweet for me the morning that Dallas was coming home from Nassau. They were being so affectionate and lovey. Below Joss is showing Hippo how to work the slide.

Emit seems to be changing by the day. Dallas was surprised when he came home from just a week away from him the other day. This stage is one of the funnest so far I think, but it's also so quick. Between now and this time next year, he's going to change SO much.
This is a little video of one of Emit's "cute things" right now. If I curl my tongue he gets all excited and this is his way of trying to do it himself!
My bathroom is a "pee-zone" these days :) Joss is getting really good at going on the potty...now we just have to work on his aim. If he's eating a sandwich or something he'll take it with him and say "eat my sam-ich and go poopy same time!" and take it with him to the potty. He's very proud when he 'goes' on the potty. He wants Hippo to see it and everything :) Emit likes the "Potty Train Chart" and tries to take the stickers off of the train tracks and then eat them, of course.
Our friend, John C., came down from Boston to spear some fish :) We were hoping sooo badly that the Cat would be ready for his visit, but we're going to miss it by just a few days. We met John on his wife on their honeymoon down here when we were working for Starfish. He's been down a few times since, and we even went to visit them one time when they were up in New York. They have three little girls: Ella, Madeline, and their newborn, Charlotte.
I have a feeling that our little families would really enjoy hanging out in the future as these kids get older :)
We did a "group outing" yesterday morning before the men folk went on their killing spree in the afternoon. It was pretty choppy when we first went out, but it turned out to be a really nice day out there.
John has been having fun meeting our boys and getting to know them in person. He's watched them grow up in the pictures, but this is the first chance he's had to meet them. Joss even felt comfortable enough with him the first night to show John his poopy :)

Joss always has some kind of truck, train, car or plane to play with--he traded with one of Hagen's for the day here.
And finally John, Joel & Dallas with the Catch of the Day (minus two more Crawfish and two Turbot's/Queen Triggers that are not pictured). Well done boys!!!! And yes, it is dark outside... that's when they finally decided to call it quits and head home.
Okay, well it's now 3:47pm on Saturday... which means the Auburn (4) vs LSU (6) game just started... so I'm off to cheer on my Tiger's! WAR EAGLE!!!!!!

It's great to see them enjoying the wagon and using it so well!!! The fact that Joss is proud of himself will hopefully keep the potty training going well... Happy Birthday Hippo - you are a wonderful friend and have been so good to share your love with sweet Jossy :0) Great fishing guys - yummy!!! Slow down Emit - you ARE changing right before our eyes, but get cuter each day ;0)
