Out trip in Bama continued heading to CC & Poppy's house for the rest of our two week stay. We got up there the night before Thanksgiving and spent Thanksgiving day playing outside (ALL DAY LONG) :) We had already planned to do the traditional Thanksgiving meal later in the week when Bev and Kevin could join us. The weather was beautiful, and the day was very enjoyable!
I had the hardest time working with the light, or I should say, trying to learn how to work with the light. We were working with overcast or surrounded by shadows almost everyday. I still haven't quite figured out how to get the clear photos of the fast boys in dim lighting without getting all the noise and fuzz in the photo. Baby steps though... :)
Some of Joss' favorite sayings this trip were: "It's so nice to see you!" "It's so nice to play with me!" He said it any time he was really having a good time (which was quite often around Bev & CC).
We were playing in a heap of leaves..they were EVERYWHERE!! Emit really liked the leaves. He would stomp around in them and just laugh and get excited at the sound they made under his feet.
I'm actually really tired right now. I've been uploading and typing as I have time today, but I still haven't found a lot of spare time. So I'm going to keep the "posting" to a minimum on this one tonight and save some more stories from the trip for the next batch...yes, I have more photos :)
I love these shots of my folks having fun with the boys. It's so easy to make them both (kids and grandparents) happy....just spend time playing with them :)
Oh, I have to mention this....CC & Poppy helped Santa a little early and got the boys this Gator! Oh my goodness at the emotions I felt watching them DRIVE and ride around on it. Joss was learning so quickly how to drive it and reverse it....I think this picture shows his LOVE of his Gator.
Look at that concentration on his face :)
Emit was absolutely precious holding on to his handle bar. This look here looks like he's pleading with me to get him off, but I promise, he was having a great time. He started to want to try driving it toward the end of the trip, but that was only if Joss wasn't in the mood to drive him. He just wanted to GO :)
You can see the little mark on Emit's head from his little slide accident a couple weeks back... it takes a while for the injured skin to catch back up to their little tans, but it is much better. And, Yes CC, your surprise was a hit!!!!
My sweet boys, you are growing too quickly right in front of my eyes!
Poppy was, once again, Emit's buddy! My Dad really loves it when Emit goes to him and wants to be held. Poppy, I love that feeling too!!
Emit's famous point...
"Jossy loves to play on his Big Green Slide. Everyday!"
(any fans of the little series of "Gossie" and her bright red boots will get this one)!
More to come...
