Milestone for Joss!

Look who is sleeping in a big boy bed now!!!! Yes, I have kept Joss in a crib as long as possible for my own comfort. Lately, he has been crawling in and out a lot more. Not really at night when he's supposed to be sleeping or anything that's been bothersome. More-so, when he's playing and throwing toys in and out and every now and then first thing in the morning when he wakes up. I wanted to take the side down for his safety so he wouldn't get hurt climbing over it. Now if I could only keep him from doing the same thing on Emit's crib!

 This morning started out like any other, and then the next thing I know we (me and the boys) were in their room rearranging things :) I swapped their cribs since the sides of the one Joss slept in could go up and down, the one Emit used was fixed in place. They look exactly the same though. Once I switched them and got Joss' mattress up on it, I had him play on it a bit. I was a little nervous about him falling off at night without any kind of railing. So, this afternoon we took a walk to the lumber store and got a little 1x4, painted it and fixed it into place. I feel much safer with it there. And as I'm watching him on the video monitor, I see him snuggled up right against it!

The absolute best part of this bed change is the fact that I can lean over and give him a really good Goodnight Kiss now that I don't have a crib rail in my way. My babies are growing!!! I'm going to have a blast planning out and building their next beds when they are ready :)
