Bubble Boys!

First and foremost...I don't know how it has happened, but I failed to mention some really incredible knews here on our blog. Bev & Kevin are gonna have a BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!! Bev told me back in June, and sis..I'm so sorry I haven't put it up here until now. So BIG shout out goes to my favorite sis and momma-to-be! Love you girl!
Again, this post isn't anything too exciting...just more of our little days around here :) This naked shot of Joss below was a really fun little moment. He played with this ball and container for a REALLY long time. He called my mom and was talking to her while playing with it too and you can ask her, it was a LONG time!
Nothing like a good snuggle with my dudes to put a smile on my face :)
Sadly, our summer months force us to spend more time indoors than our winter months because of the mosquitoes and bugs. Unless we are out on the boat and in the water, it is usually intolerable to spend more than a few minutes at a time playing out in our yard when the bugs are bad. We've been playing a lot with Play-Dough, cutting, gluing, coloring, building with blocks and legos, pasta on the train table to push around with their dump trucks and bull dozers, etc. Joss always says, "Let's go play doughin'" like we're going hunting or something. Or if Daddy comes in while their playing he'll say, "Daddy, you can go play doughin' with us if you want to!" Of course, he says it in a little voice that is irresistible to turn down.
LOL, not really sure what Emit is doing in this one below :)
Dallas' folks are clearing out their attic and spare rooms and working on some renovations which means Dallas is getting all his old stuff he had as a kid, any random items that we might be able to use with the company, and pretty much anything else that they don't know what else to do with. Some of it has been AWESOME... like this Giant Bubble maker we had a ball with below.
"The boys like big bubbles and I cannot lie"--the bigger, the better... but little ones, big ones, purple ones, green ones... they aren't picky. They are like that with balloons too :)
Chasing the bubbles and making them pop is their goal...
 and with these giant bubbles...
the POP makes a big bubbly mess that rains down on you :)
This one below was getting pretty long--they are endless fun for sure!
See what I mean-- all smiles :)
 Love this little man :)
Another treasure was an old sombrero of Dallas'. Don't ask... I don't really know when Dallas when through his latino streak to pull this hat off, but I THINK it was a souvenir on a cruise he went on with some friends.
"Mis muchachos se divertían con el sombrero grande."
(My boys were having fun with the big hat.)
We had a trip launch a few weeks ago and the boys and I were needed to help drive a vehicle. The boys were totally fine with a new spot to play with their little diggers and dozers. TIP--these cheap little bull dozers & dump trucks sets are AWESOME toys.
 1) they are inexpensive, 2) they are small and easily portable,
 3) they are quiet, 4) these guys spend HOURS digging in dirt, rocks, hard pasta on the train table, rice, etc. and 5) they are great for their imaginations!!
I love hearing them play with these kind of toys. Joss, especially, really gets into a dialog with them all and it takes me back to days when I could sit and play for hours with my babies and Barbies and never get bored. Emit is starting to add his own little sound effects and stuff now too which is also really cute.
Whenever Joss is tired of playing with something or bored with it (could be anything, coloring, playing the iTouch, playing with his toys, riding his bike, etc) his phrase is, "I'm started to get sweaty, that's why I can't play anymore." It's funny when it is something inside and no chance of him being sweaty, but I guess more times than not the phrase probably fits with his activity.
I love this tall grass below... or maybe I just love Joss looking at me and smiling, IN this tall grass below!
We've  been really good about hanging our laundry out to dry and saving on our dryer usage. Trust me, when the heat rolls in down here, we need all the extra change we can get to cover our power bill, UGH--AC is expensive. Anyway--back to my point :) Whenever we go out back to hang up our laundry, the boys go in search of lizards, spiders, snakes...you know, BOY stuff.
As you can see our yard has lots of rocks, bushes, branches... not the nice clean grassy lawn that I'd LOVE to have, but it does make it fun for exploring. And this time of year (a couple weeks ago anyway) Banana Spiders are EVERYWHERE. The boys get really excited to hunt for those, because they are super easy to find.
Joss is making sure Emit sees the spider-web this time and doesn't walk right into it. Emit wasn't a happy camper with that one. Poor Joy in the background...she was getting away from the noise. :(
My little explorers, artists, adventurers, and in general CRAZY dudes can always make everyday activities so much fun!!!
