Thumbs up from Dad! Swimming like a big boy with his mask and no life jacket!!
Emit never wants his wings on...but he still needs them for sure. He just goes walking straight out to sea fearless as can be as the water tumbles over his face. For my own piece of mind he's gonna have these on a bit longer. I guess he thinks he's Super Emit or something! :)
More fun indoors painting some trains CC & Poppy gave them. This was a BIG hit! Joss wanted to paint the oil car which is now called the 'bumpy train' because of the layers and layers of paint on it (which I think is adorable). Mine got given the name 'the smooth circus car' due to the bright colors, polka dots and the overall smooth texture I suppose :) and Emit.. well, I guess technically, the train I painted was his, but he didn't have any interest in painting the train (which was, of course, what we wanted him to paint). Instead, he wanted to paint some of his other little cars and toys and himself too.

Thanks to Pinterest.com (which I have totally become addicted to) we have found lots of really cute and simple craft ideas. The information has always been out there, but thanks to Pinterest I don't have to seek it out... it's right there in front of me and gives me many moments where I feel like "well duh...why didn't I think of something like that!"

Joss enjoyed playing with his Very Hungry Caterpillar :) Don't worry... Emit got one too. Lately, Emit's little 'pal' has been another one of the great treasures that have been shipped over to us from Nassau. This stuffed armadillo came with a box of jars full of pickled snakes, lizards, eggs, etc. My reaction was, "GROSS!" Dallas said, "it's a boy thing." Well, I was able to talk him out of (which didn't take much, trust me) the Jars of Yuck, but Emit wasn't going to let me get rid of this ugly guy below. He's such a good friend to Emit. He even holds the phone for him while he's talking to CC. :)

Both my little guys sporting their 'big boy pants'. Emit's not quite there on the potty training...but we're slowly working there :)

I love how much my little guys are TRUE boys. They love dirt and mud and bugs and all things boys :)

Joss is helping Daddy hunt...
Crawfish season opened!!
We did pretty well for opening day considering we only went out for about 2 hours late in the afternoon, and possibly one of the biggest (even topping last year's monster) here on the left.
Emit giving the crawfish his approval and inspection.
Joss wasn't too fascinated by the haul, he wanted to swim more with his mask. He really lives in the water now!
Emit spotted something down there that really grabbed his attention!
Joss counting the catch.
And Emit goes in to explore...
I love this little sequence. He made that fish look SO heavy with his face and his little grunts trying to pick it up. But even though it was soooo heavy...
He still managed to carry it all the way over to show momma! :)
More poking of the eyes, of course!
Little Emit just didn't want to say good-bye to his fish friend...so he took it for one last swim :)
"Lord, I truly thank you for these little Blessings in my life!"
