The weekend that everyone flew out of Exuma and started their journey home, the family threw Muh (Dallas' Grandmother) a big party for her birthday. It happened to be a good excuse to get all the grandkids and almost all of the siblings together. Eliott and Erin and David (April's husband) were the only ones from this side of the family missing out on the gathering.
It was a great time for all the cousins to hang out. Joss & Emit only met Miss Olivia (April's first child) once or twice before (when they were all really little) so they all had a fun time getting to know each other. Below, Dallas is meeting his newest nephew, Luke (April's second child).
Andy & Nancy were pretty happy campers with a house full of kids and grandkids for the night. Yes, it was only one night for all of us to be together at once. It would have been a lot of fun to hang out longer, but it was pretty crazy too and we had some stuff to get back to, so it was short and sweet.
One of the really exciting things for Joss to do whenever we are at Nana & Papa's house is to see the frogs down in the cistern (as you see them doing below). He remembered seeing them in there the last time we visited, so he asked Papa to let him say 'hi' to the frogs :) I just love the little things that you grow up doing that feel like such big deals when you are younger. It's a shame we outgrow some of that pure joy in simple things.
It took Emit, Joss & Olivia a little while to warm up to each other enough to interact and play with each other... you can see Emit's skeptical look below as Olivia passes him in their other activity that they do every time they visit Nana & Papa's....racing the cars/trains/trucks (aka-"Toys that got some wheels") along this wall on the front patio.
Joss is really serious about his race below... better watch out, Olivia's on your tail :)
It was crazy seeing all the kiddos everywhere (and these are the mobile ones). Little Luke was looking on from a safe distance.
For the party we had some more friends and family join in the fun. This little guy is just a little younger than Emit and is such a cutie pie with his little dark eyes and hair. His name is Enrique. The boys were all having a blast with the bubbles.
Again, one of those simple pleasures in life...BUBBLES!!!! :)
And here's the whole crew that was there...
Left to right: Me & Emit, Dallas & Joss, Jeremy (D's bro) & Luke (April's baby), Heather & Mason (Jeremy's crew) and April (D's sis) & Olivia... PLUS April has #3 in the belly :) Holy Smokes.. that's a lot of grand babies in less than 4 years!!!
Here's Nana & Papa (Dallas' parents) with all the GRANDS! I can't help but get tickled by Emit's expression... that's his routine "Say Cheese" response face. He's such a little booger when we want him to look at us or smile or something for the camera. Any other time just about, he's all smiles. In all fairness, it is probably because mommy and daddy deserted him and were too far out of reach, but it still makes me giggle :)
Below is the four generations of Knowles' at the party, with the birthday girl sitting with that nice perky smile on the front left :) Honestly... that's a pretty good expression for Muh in a photo.
I can only imagine how the CHAOS CRUISES are going to be in the future with all these youngsters actually running around and playing and being together. My heart starts speeding up just thinking about it :)
