Still playing catch-up here...but I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere :)
Shortly after the birthday party for Muh in Nassau, Nana & Papa (Dallas' folks) came to visit with a good family friend, and their pastor, Lyall (above). Lyall has been a close, close friend of the family since Dallas was a kid. They all came to for the Bahamas Independence Day weekend (to escape all the long and traditional ceremonial services being held in Nassau) :). And of course spend some time with the GRAND kids!
Typical sailing posture for me and the boys :)
Our friends, Ian & Esther, joined us all for some fun on the water too.
JOSS IS SWIMMING :) He is so proud of being able to 'swim like a big boy'! He actually says that too. He'll say something like, "Mommy, watch me swim like a big boy!"
Long days in the boat still get the boys all tuckered out. Which results in sweet snuggles (a little awkwardly positioned, but still sweet).
A group out in the boat calls for some fun skiing for sure. Joss wanted to ride on Papa's back too. Mainly because he was going first on the skis...but Papa was willing and Joss was too.
Pretty impressive stuff considering that Dallas' dad can still ski with Joss on his back then get up slalom (on one ski). I'm not trying to imply that he's too old for it, but Dallas get's tired after skiing with Joss on his back from the leaning forward position... so to me it was pretty cool his Dad could still do it like a champ!
I sure do love these little dudes!
All smiles out on the water!
At this point in the summer I was still trying to accomplish the slalom skiing thing myself....this is how that attempt was going at the time :) (thought it might be fun to show some wipe-outs too).
Joss wasn't ready to quit yet...so Daddy took him for another loop around the cove.
And after his successful loop he had to show off his new found skill...swimming like a big boy, of course!
Dallas RARELY wipes-out on the skis. I think I've seen him do it, maybe, twice. He always knows well in advance when he's lost control and always goes down gracefully.... I just thought this shot looked cool with the water spray and all :) Can't just show me wiping-out now can I?
More summer fun to come...
