We got our precious kitties when they were about 8 weeks old back in 2003. We were still in college, so Joy (the gray one) lived with me and Snarf (the black and white striped one) lived with Dallas. They were our babies!
These cats have been with us through a lot. They have moved to and from and back again to the Bahamas. While living here they have been on the mailboat to Nassau and another flight back here (when Emit was born). Needless to say, they have traveled more than most of my relatives.
They were around for our big moments...bringing Joss home from the hospital.
Christmases over the years when it was just us and them, and then when our little family grew.

This is a classic Snarf look below :)
And a classic Joy shot here...
They always seemed happy and content indoors...
but they always longed to be outside!
When we moved to our home that we are in now, we finally were able to give them their chance to go outside and run and roam.
Oh yes, they were here for our second biggest moment too, Emit :)
These kitties had a lot of patience with our tiny little hands and feet around here. They were constantly getting tugged on, stepped on, pulled on....
And through it all they were loyal as can be and filled our hearts with 'JOY' and love. Our poor kitties were killed by a pack of dogs that ran through our little neighborhood they other night. We found them both within hours of each other, and our hearts are breaking over our sweet pets. Joss seems to understand a little about what is going on, but sweet Emit doesn't quite get it. He walked over to the spot that Joy always rested in (which is the same spot we found her in after the attack) and he just states, "Joy die." They didn't get to say their good-byes to Snarf like we were able to do with Joy, but their little graves are just down the path behind our house.
We love you sweet kitties and will miss you both so much!!

Great pictures and memories of your sweet cats. So sorry for your loss. I'm sure losing the both at the same time makes it even harder. I love you guys! May God's peace help your hearts heal from this loss.
Great reminder of all the wonderful years, and memories, you had with Joy and Snarf... I'm so sad that they were attacked by dogs and lost their lives in such a senseless way! They will be missed...
Love to you all ;0)
