Bama Finale...Finally!! :)

At last I am posting the LAST batch of goodies from our Bama trip and once again I get into a bunch of badly focused or lit photos....ugh, bugs me so much. Hopefully by time I get my blog printed into a book I'll be able to get my basic photography skills mastered...but we'll see. That's just another thing to add to the 'to-do list'!
Joss & Emit finally got to meet Bev & Kevin's 'puppies'. Yes, they are still technically puppies, but aren't they HUGE! Nike and Gandolf enjoyed giving kisses and slobber to the boys. Emit was much happier in Uncle Kevin's safe arms when the dogs were near. The boys also enjoyed climbing in the dog cages and pretending to be dogs.
CC & Poppy joined us in Birmingham the next morning for a fun little impromptu birthday fun for Emit. We flew back home just before he turned 2...had to get one more free flight! We had a little cookie cake and some presents for Emit. Joss had to show Emit what to do with the candle the first time and then Emit wanted to do it about 10 more times after that.
Cookie, singing, candles, presents...Emit was a happy little dude!!!  Joss was pretty happy about the new toys too. You see the red truck in the pics? Well, CC just couldn't let these boys fight over a toy, so we brought 2 of these guys home. Yet they still manage to fight over them or something else these days...hmmmmm.

Next we went to a fun little playplace with all sorts of fun to be had. You'll notice my embarrassing photo below on the top right... YES, I was having a good time too :) LOL!!!
Bev was a good sport even though Baby was hungry and making her feel pretty bad the whole time. And below is the party crew (minus CC who is behind camera). It's so fun to see all of our friends with little ones of their own and increasing our get togethers :) From left to right we have: Poppy (my dad), Mrs. Crean (Bethany's mom), Bethany (my college roommate), her daughter, Annalise, Josh, Ethan & Saharh (college friends), Joss & Bev in the middle, Me, Emit & Dallas, and Heather, Mason & Jeremy--Thank you guys for playing with us and having a fun time!!
On to the GoKarts :)
Heather got some great shots of the fun too...
All the babies and all the fun... I'm sure it is just going to grow more and more over the years...there's at least two babies in some tummies in these shots for starters :)

We try to go and visit my Great-Grandmother every time we're in Bama. We never get to stay with her long enough and she's always really sad when we have to say goodbye. It breaks my heart every time, but I also want her to know that we love her and let her see the boys while she can. Joss was a little nervous at first. When we first went into the assisted living building a crazy old lady (I'm not trying to be mean... she really was pretty crazy) kept following Joss and trying to get him to give her kisses. He gave her one the first time she asked and surprised me. He didn't want to give her anymore. It was really sad, but we wanted to get time to visit with our Granny Sargent.
So many little things happened during this trip that I know I have forgotten. OOOh yeah, like this: Every morning that my mom had to go in to work Emit would start pleading with her, "Come you, CC's?!? Come you?" (asking if he could go with her). One morning he got his wish :) She took him with her for a few hours in his pajamas with milk in hand. I was told he was a good little helper!
Next time we're in Bama it'll be time for Bev's baby to join the ranks....very exciting :) CC will get her Joss & Emit fix before then though, she is coming next week for a couple of days and then again at Christmas. Hopefully it won't take me a month and a half to post about each trip. I still have some stuff to get caught up on since we've been back too!

Love your puppies... very cute them playing in the kennels! Emit was so sweet at his Bama birthday party - love the way he caught on blowing out the candles and the FUN he had playing in the big tree and on the go-karts. I'm pleasantly surprised they enjoyed the ride and very excited I got to ride with him for a few laps... Eveything they did was so much fun for me and Poppy to expereince first hand. Love the moments you captured with us driving them around in Poppy's "red" truck - our make-do car seat never hit the road, but Emit was precious feeling like a BIG boy in the front with Poppy :0)

Love ya LOTS!!!
