We had a Holly Jolly Christmas!

The day after my mom and dad arrived and we celebrated Joss' birthday, we were loading up on a plane and heading to Nassau for one night to do the family gift exchange with Dallas' family. I don't think I took a single photo in Nassau. Why??? I don't have a clue. Probably because we seemed to just "GO GO GO, on our adventure" and didn't really stop for photo opps. We went over to Dallas' Aunt Elspeth's house for the dinner and gift exchange and they have a LOVELY house and yard. Their backyard and pool area is really gorgeous and was a BIG hit with the boys.
Love their little feet next to each other as they sat together in the same seat on the plane sharing the iPad :)
Emit kept asking me where the elephants were while we were playing in the yard because when we first went back there I said something like, 'wow, this place looks like a cool jungle!' Smart little dude, or what? :) They also had a trampoline....my mom and I spent about an hour and a half or more jumping with the boys on that and laughed til we hurt :) It was dark outside and I knew I wouldn't be able to get the shots I wanted to, so I didn't even bother trying, but I will remember it just the same.

We all flew back to Exuma the next day and had about a 4 hour delay with our flight. Thank heavens for my CC's ipad :) We swore we wouldn't travel again that close to Christmas...we'll either be where we are going before or stay put...it was crazy!
Our Christmas morning PJ crew :) Just missing Bev & Kevin in their new jammies and we'd be all set!
Our Christmas for the boys and everyone was very simple...I made a lot of homemade gifts this year. Not sure if Bev has had a chance to open her's yet, so I won't go over those yet :)
The boys were a lot of fun this year. We heard, "More presents?!" a lot and tried to keep things at a nice and slow pace so we didn't go too fast. I was really bummed I didn't get the plans for their dump truck and fire truck in time. If I don't get them built this year, at least I know what I'll do for them next Christmas. Instead we got them a little swing set from Nassau. This, of course, was the best little shot I got of them that morning. They were very happy about the set and have thoroughly enjoyed it
Here's a shot of the little stick horses that I...I mean, Santa, made for them :) Yep, we gave Santa the credit for these scary looking things. Mommy and Daddy were the ones to give them the COOL swing set :) HA HA, sorry Santa! They are sort of cute in their own creepy way.
And another homemade goodie was their art easels. I believe we're going to get a lot of use out of these once their thrill dies off a bit from some of their toys and we get back to school. I know I'm excited to use them if no one else is :) Emit really seemed to like them though. My mom and dad gave them a TON of new art supplies and craft stuff to make these even more fun too. We are going to have a blast and will hopefully have lots of pictures with these.
We got totally hooked up with awesomeness from CC & Poppy, and I guess I can say from my Nannie and Papa (who are no longer with us) this Christmas. They went all out and spoiled the heck out of us. It was a special year, and we greatly appreciate all the amazing goodies they gave us, but we also feel totally unworthy of it all. For starters...momma got some new kicks :)
I love my boots and have wanted some for a long time now, I've worn them just about everyday since I got them :) Gonna start a new trend on the island (or get totally laughed at and be the crazy white woman that wears the boots and builds the furniture...but I'm cool with that!). They also got me some AMAZING tools. Dallas tagged team it with them and they blew me away with a miter saw, new compact drills, a table saw, the greatness goes on and on...
It was love at first cut with these saws the other day, A M A Z I N G!!!!! I'm so excited to have all these tools.
Dallas got his Maui Jim sunglasses from me which he knew he was getting and has wanted for a while... so he was happy, but only got one main thing from me and wasn't really surprised by it. He also got a YETI cooler that he got to pick out and order from my parents. I think I was just as excited about this one as he was. It was a TOTAL surprise and we had no clue my folks even knew about Yeti Coolers... they are like the Cadillac Cooler out there and will be SO awesome for Dallas to have on his trips and should let him fill up with ice ONCE instead of every other day when he's out there. Kevin was a little spy for them I think from when he went on the trip with Dallas back in the spring... so a HUGE thanks to our family for working together on that one.
Joss and Emit have been enjoying their cowboy hats and my boots on a daily basis too :) Aren't they cute little naked cowboys! They've learned to "Cover your pee pee!" on cue now too, or almost learned...but sometimes they just get too excited and forget :) Love these rotten dudes!
Last, and certainly not least, of our Christmas Extravaganza was our very own iPad! Joss calls it his, but it is the Knowles Family iPad in our iTunes, so we're sticking to that :)
It was nice while my mom was here and we had two, that way they could both play at the same time, but having ONE is amazing to us and more than we ever planned to have. I told you we got spoiled!
I don't know how to say THANK YOU in a way that really, truly shows my folks how thankful we are for all the stuff you gave us. All of that on top of the fact that you flew here to spend Christmas with us again. It's overwhelming and insane, but all in a good and wonderful way. Please know how thankful we are and how much we are loving all our new toys!
The rest of the trip pics are coming soon! Love you guys :)

love all the recent posts! I've only been able to look at them on my phone until now, so I haven't commented, but every single post I wish I could comment on each photo individually. I always love the little Joss and Emit stories. I can't believe what a big boy Joss is. It blows my mind!! I'm so glad to hear the Christmas recap, we got to hear tidbits of all of your surprises when your parents were in town a few weeks before Christmas and I was so excited for you I thought I was going to pee my pants! I know you will enjoy all of your tools so much and they will help you enjoy the woodworking even more (hopefully taking away some of the old frustrations you had to deal with). I love all the naked shots of the boys. It just makes me think they got so excited that they ran right out of their clothes. They are so funny!! Love and miss you guys!! xoxo

Looks like you guys had a great Christmas, but I have to addess those stick horses...I think Stephen King wrote a book about them lol. They will forever be apart of your Christmas memories. Love the boots...now you're ready to hit the streets of Nashville!!!
