Bama Biz Take 2

Man, looking at these photos makes this trip seem so long ago. All I see my boys wearing in most of these is the same little jackets...well, those little jackets got washed and tucked away as soon as we got back home :)
I told you before that we took the boys to Spain Park a lot while we were in Birmingham. The boys and I were a bit like gypsies on this particular trip to Bama. We stayed a couple nights with my folks, then a couple nights with Bev and Kev, then again to my folks, then again in B'ham. Lots of driving back and forth, but they did really great on the trips. As always, the 'mighty machines', the 'hairplanes', the big MAC trucks, cars going fast, cars going slow, billboards, street lights, cars, cars, cars...BIG HITS!
Bev and Kevin insisted on hitting up Krispy Kreme when the "HOT DONUTS" sign was bright red one day. My goodness, the boys were so wired this day. Add to that the fact they were quadrupling their sugar intake with one little donut and they were literally bouncing off the walls before we left. Joss thought the chairs were the coolest 'yittle trampoline' ever.
LOL "Ma & Pa" with their donuts! I admit... they were devilishly delicious.
When we returned that afternoon, the guy was there to deliver to the bookcase. The packaging was a wreck  so the driver wanted me to open it with him there in the event I wanted to make a claim. This is how Bev got to see her shelf for the first time :(
I was heartbroken, but I was determined to fix it and have it ready when little man came home from the hospital. It still isn't 100% perfect, but it never was to begin with. Perfect Imperfections, remember :) If you missed the final shots, you can see those in a post I did a couple weeks ago here
The night Bev was going in to be induced was one of those nerve-wracking and irritatingly slow moving times. We were all so antsy waiting and ready to GO, I know it was hard on Bev. She did great though. Gandolf knew something was up and didn't want to get too far away from momma.
Final belly shot for Baby Momma!
Here we go folks...
They went into the hospital around 8pm that night and then we headed up the next morning to see how things were coming. The boys were fantastic the whole day. I had my good stroller with me on this trip, and I specifically wanted it around for this day in the hospital. We walked all over the place, but the boys were happy and I was able to keep tabs on them a lot easier with the stroller. It was quite a sight I think because they were each playing games on a iPad and just chilling in the double wide BOB stroller. I should have got a shot of us in action, but there were more important things to think about.
There was this little prayer garden and outdoor chapel area that we went to when were in desperate need of fresh air and some sunshine. The boys went straight to this puppy statue and starting talking to it and petting it and loving on the thing like it was real. Bev, does that sound at all familiar with some fake flowers in our childhood?? ;)
Joss really liked the little kids too. They were asking me all about why the statues were there and what it meant and all kinds of stuff. They always ask so many questions. And most of the time they really do pay attention to the answers I tell them. Makes me a little nervous that I have these little 'blank canvasses' that I'm a main source of 'color' on, but it is also really sweet to see their little minds processing it all.
This guy is already asking us for a dog...but we'll get to that when we get to the pictures with Buddy & Dumplin :)
See, found another 'yittle buddy' in the waiting room. He was really sad when we had to leave this little guy.
After many of hours of laboring with little progress in the right direction, the 'C-section' was called in. Which means, Little Man will really be here soon :)
Proud Mom of Momma-to-Be...
Our cheering team consisted of some of my dads siblings. Daddy (aka Poppy), Ilah Dale & Uncle Scott.
We got to wait in their room until they returned so they could announce his name to everyone together.
The window was perfect. Had a straight view of the interstate and downtown Birmingham. I know you can't see the 'view' here, but the boys had so much to look at and keep them entertained.
When they were ready to move on to something else they wanted to wear CC's earrings. They love to play in mine and they think it is so cool. I don't think Emit liked how this particular one felt...
Give me a few more years and this won't be so cool probably :) But I love letting them be sweet boys right now!
Next activity... climb the Poppy Tree. Sorry this one is blurry...
They did this for a little while :) I'm not sure who was having more fun, the tree or the climbers.
Oh Poppy, you're the Best! :)
All the playing and waiting and more playing just wore little Emit slap out. He took a pretty good nap waiting for his little cousin to arrive! Technically, I think he was awake when they came in the room the first and announced him and then we went to get a present and on the ride Emit crashed and was asleep when we went back in the room.
If you haven't heard it yet, his name is............ :)

I appreciate the extra effort you guys made to be with us on Xander's Birthday. It was very special to have you there. We love you! Hope to see you again very soon.
