Bama Biz Take 1

When the boys and I were getting ready to head out of town for a few weeks, Dallas' folks flew in just before to see the boys and then spend the first couple days with Dallas. I was trying hard to finish Joss' bed for Ana-White's site before we left, so they took the boys to get ice cream :) The boy's favorite kind is SUPERMAN ice cream. Of course, I didn't finish the bed...but they still had fun for sure!
While we were away, Dallas, Joel and Ian took a group of teenage boys on an overnight kayak and camping trip. Sounded like they had a good time. We're hoping to do more of this kind of stuff with the kids around here. At some point, you just hope it makes a difference.
My little travel buddies were EXCELLENT on the plane ride there and back. Aren't they cute sitting in the seats like big boys? Of course when I booked online they had our 3 seats all over the place. I gently asked the lady if she could fix that because that was clearly not going to work. And they bumped the folks in our new seats up to first class and we got the nice roomy seats right behind first class. Not that we needed a lot of leg space :)
Joss was making sure Hippo was safe and secure in his seat belt too :)
We met my dad at the 'hairport' and the boys and I were so excited to ride in Poppy's New White Truck! We immediately headed for Chic-Fil-A... oh my goodness, good fast food and a large sweet tea YUM!! You just can't appreciate it when you can get it whenever you want! I think we made a record number of pit stops, pee pee breaks and detours on that drive to my parent's place. CC was about to get in her car and meet us on the rode, I think, because our delay was driving her nuts in anticipation. The boys were talking about playing on their gator the whole time. They asked Poppy if they could help him hook up the battery, and if you look close, you'll notice they are still in their PJ's. They were barely up long enough to get their chocolate milk before they were outside workin' on the Gator!
I LOVE this shot of Joss and Poppy working hard in their jammies together. So sweet to me!
In no time the Gator was fixed and they were OFF, morning mist and all. It was a pretty exciting time for them because they got to wear their jackets :)
They make such a cute little team rolling around in this thing.
I think it still makes Emit a bit nervous when Joss gets going really fast, which is why Emit is m.i.a in some pica on the Gator.
AWWWWWW, Momma B in her last few days!!! At this point, she had gone to the doctor and they told her at her next check up they would induce if she hadn't gone in to labor yet. She went to her next check-up and they gave her another push-back because it was a long holiday weekend. Poor girl, she was pretty bummed about that, and I don't blame her. At this point, we knew she was having a little boy, but we didn't know the name just yet..fun little surprise on its way :)
This is Spain Park in Birmingham...a short drive down the road from Bev & Kevin's place, so we took the boys to play here a bunch. It's a wonderful playground and there are tons of kids playing there whenever you go.
Joss is my little social butterfly. He sees kids (here or there) and he thinks, "New Friends!" Emit is a little more reserved, but still likes to play with new kids.
Oh my goodness... He was having a great time :)
Of course, my photography is lacking to capture all the great moments, but I got a few at least.
Emit was eating up all the solo attention from CC & Poppy while I was running around chasing after Joss :)
Kevin was on dog duty...think he has his hands full??? I think so!
Emit was hiding from Poppy here and had fun playing this little game...
Oooooo CC, I hope you can feel the squeeze in this one...
I just love all the smiles and happy faces!
Bev stole some loving too :) It was so hard on her this visit not being able to run around and play at full speed with the boys like normal, but it's not everyday she has a baby, so it was totally excusable.
Here's some of Joss' little friends. He was running around bossing them, no I'll say, LEADING them around the playground. I love the way he pronounces his "L" these days. It sounds like a "Y" every time. So he was running around saying, "This way 'yittle' buddy" "Hey 'yittle' buddy!" "Momma, where's my 'yittle' friend?"
So much fun in just a few short days of us landing in the good ole USA!
more coming soon....
