Best Friend Bros!

"When all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know ya do"
Just my little tune to keep moving along with this game of catch-up I have going here on the blog :)

I'm feeling very productive tonight, and most of my productive nights include a blog post to keep things rolling on here. Again, these photos were taken before I left for Bama. My Bama visit will start on my next post. Hang in there CC :)
Most days these two little guys are such great play buddies. Especially if everything else revolves around them and making them happy. When momma has to do other work and gets a little distracted, things almost seem to fall apart by the minute. It is very important for me to do my work when I am 'not on duty'.
Emit has been doing this thing for the past few weeks where he runs up to us calling our name, "Mommy, mommy, momma????" "Yes, Emit!?" (they both wait until I've said something in response before they continue with their statement or question). Then he goes on to announce with a little head tilt, shoulder shrug and sideways glance, "You're my best friend!" It always makes me happy to hear that, so I always make a big deal about it, which only fans the flame :) He loves the reaction he gets when he tells us that and therefore he ends up telling us that about 30 times a day!
HA HA... Big Tuna with his catch of the day above! Gotta love 'boy meets world' around here.
Joss flying high on his swing and Emit upset because he can't get on the seat, probably. Don't you just LOVE our pile of dirt and rocks that they get to play in? A big project I have for us this summer is to get some grass growing around our yard. I hate playing in the dust all the time. Grass and a little garden hopefully, but we'll see!!! I don't have much of a green thumb, that I know of, but I'd like to give it a shot :)
Emit is my little pouter... and he's so good at it.
Isn't it just heartbreaking?
At least it usually doesn't last too long when we start the pout-stare-down :)
He's trying not to smile below... ha ha... such a stinker.
{cue glorious them music} Ahhhhhh!! Truck full of wood :) What a pretty sight to these eyes. Of course, I would be much happier if I said this project was finished, but it is 99.5% finished. This was for Joss' big boy bed and a coffee table for my in-laws. I didn't get them finished before I went on my trip, and since I've been back, it has been one thing after another it seems....but anyway!
Emit's hair is the total opposite of Joss'. I can spike his up like this out of the bath, and 15 minutes later it is flat and dry and totally in place. Joss' sticks up all over the place with his sweet little spikes wet or dry :)
Oh, I miss these smiles. Feels like we have been in a bit of a rut around here lately with all the chaos with work and we seem to have a lot more tension in the ranks these days. Looking forward to Daddy getting back from his trip tomorrow so we can have a few days of just fun, nothing work-related. Momma needs some playtime with my boys!
LOVE IT!!!! :)

Love the matching outfits! Everytime I hear that song "Move Along", I feel like I'm playing Rockband. The boys hair is super cute. Love you guys! Keep those blogs coming. I read them to Xander! :)
