We had a lot of rainy days while my mom and dad were visiting, but that didn't mean the fun was not being had.
My mom found this Curious George Discovery Beach game for the boys. MAN, this thing won some game of the year award for and it is very well deserved. They absolutely LOVE it! They have enjoyed it just about everyday since they got it. Nice pick CC!!!!!
My little Nintendo playing dudes were sooo excited about these shirts they got. They have been sleeping in just tshirts more lately (a few of the bigger size ones or even some of my smaller ones) instead of the full jammies with shirt and pants. Add that to the fact that they love playing my old school Nintendo with these two characters and you have two very happy kiddos at bedtime.
Oh, and don't forget.... their CC was in town which always mean super duper long story times. They usually get 3-4 each night, but when CC is in town they like to ask for 6, 7, 8 or more stories if they can swing it :)
We have been working with Joss a lot lately to help him make it through the night without a diaper and without peeing the bed. We go in when we're getting ready to go to bed to carry him to the potty to go one more time before calling it a night. He is sooooo adorable when we get him up to take him in there. He is barely awake, but he gives the sweetest snuggles. The other night I went in and said, "baby, do you need to go pee pee?" His response (still mostly asleep), "You gave me a CIRCLE!" ???!?!?!???!?! :) Any translations out there?
I still stink at getting good pictures inside, but the boys were being really cute this night and I just loved them in their shirts and I wanted to try to capture a little of 'story time' or the time leading up to story time with CC. They got a little crazy :)
There is no doubt about it... these boys love their CC!!!!!
Ahhh, I love this one with Emit :)
Pure Joy!
I also haven't quite got my grip on taking the action photos in the rainy day lighting either...sorry, just too many things I want to learn and be good at and too little time to pursue it all. The boys love this little sprinkler that shoots balls out the top.
They were actually a little cold this day because it was rainy and overcast, but we just had to get outside for a break.
Our house is not very big, so on days that we are inside for long periods.... it really starts to cave in on you, but we make the most of it...
Or at least we try to!
More Curious George fun, and yes..they are naked, sorry they love to 'run around like naked boys' and CC & Poppy don't mind. Less laundry for me :)
They were just too cool not to wear their shades :) Don't you just love their tan lines where their underwear would be?
Playing with some new toys at the beach!
Joss working on his swimming. He really enjoys showing off.
We keep one of our sailboats down at the beach so we can jump in it easily during the summer. It's a very nice option to have spur of the moment :)
One of the boys' favorite toys to take to the beach is a little set of measuring cups. Nothing fancy about these cups, but they love to make sand castles with them. With the little spoons that came with the set they love to make 'Animalmechanical Eggs' with them. That one will probably only make sense to us, but I don't want to forget it :) Another game they have found lately with the cups is making them go "bloop!" Basically, you put some water and a little sand in the cup to make it heavy, hold it up high and drop it in the water, and "Make it go Bloop!" Tough game huh?? We did this for about 10 minutes straight the other day. Which may not sound like a long time, but in toddler-boy-time that's like....forever to do one thing :)
More fun with the GRANDparents coming up...
