CC & Poppy's Week of Fun Continues

When CC & Poppy are here we try to play, play, play as much as we can. We had quite a bit of rain the week they were here, so I was glad for these few days at the beginning of sunshine. This morning we set out and just around the corner from our beach we found this tug boat and barge and the boys were fascinated!
CC's favorite way to ride in a boat is with at least one little dude snuggled up in her lap. Two would be perfection, but I don't think she's complaining here :)
My sweet little man :) Sometimes he seems so much older than 2. Especially lately while we've been spending so much time with other kids. But moments like this I am reminded, he still is my baby boy! And I love him so much!!
Spending lots of time with kids.... I haven't mentioned that on here yet. It's been on FB, but not on here.
Dallas and I decided to try to make the most of the summer and see if we could survive a little easier by making a little extra money doing a 'summer camp' for kids around here. Of course in our minds all the kids would be little angels and we'd have fun exploring, discovering, learning new things about the area, and having a great summer vacation. Well, we've had a few of those moments.
Mostly it has turned into us babysitting kids from 8:30am-3:30pm a couple days a week and trying not to go completely nuts. Joss and Emit have been EXTRAORDINARY!!! They have been so good about sharing their toys, games, movies, boat, mommy & daddy. I couldn't have asked for better campers out of the two of them. Really! Consider 7 kids coming in their house and total taking over their play space and toys and just throwing everything into chaos. We try to stay outside as much as possible, but we've had a few rainy days as well that have resulted in a lot of indoor time. We don't let the kids play in the boy's room, so we're just out in the big room in our house and it gets very crowded with that many little ones screaming and just being kids. BUT... more on that later, back to CC & Poppy's time with us :)
We had fun going to Sand Dollar Beach this day and searching in the super shallow waters for...what do you think? Sand Dollars :) There are times of year when they are everywhere in this area.
The boys have fun when there is a mission of some sort or a goal to find something. It makes the hunt a little more exciting for them.
 My oh-so-handsome-Captain!!
CC showing Joss a live Sand Dollar.
The main difference in them being alive or dead is the coloring. The brown color here means it is alive, when they die they turn white which is what you usually see along the beaches or in the sand. These ones like to stay buried just below the sand surface.
We'll have to spend some time studying these in school when we start back up again.
And we found a different type of starfish too. These ones were wiggling all over the place.
CC was a little freaked out with it :)
Emit was curious. He kept asking to hold it. He loves holding critters, that's for sure.
His face here cracks me up. He wants to hold it, but when it wiggles and moves on him, he's not quite sure how he feels about that :)
It's really neat how many creatures there are in the sea and how different they all can be.
I think Emit has finally warmed up to it!
 Everyone enjoying the snorkel.
Chuck, the dumptruck, was helping us collect them too. Don't worry, we put the live ones back in the water.
Another great shot of my dad and Emit!
Then of course we headed to Chat-n-Chill for lunch and a visit with our stingray friends.
"Ah, it's gonna get me!" (Don't worry, it's not going to get him, he loves playing with these things)
They never get tired of petting these guys. This is his buddy Hagen in the photo with him.
The stingrays are very friendly, they just keep coming back for more treats (if you are feeding them) or just more petting if you don't have the food. If you're kneeling in the water they just glide right up on your legs and let you pet them.
Another day in the books playing in Elizabeth Harbor= Another day of fun!

Okay, this post is exactly 1 month from our visit, that's only 30 days, and I feel like we have been gone for months... I so enjoy spending time with you all and it was such a relaxing and fun visit! The boys are great explorers and it's amazing how well they play in the water now :0) They are truly "part of my heart" and every smile, each moment they rest in my arms, and every word they share with me is PRICELESS!!! Love, love, love you all so VERY much ;0) As always, thank you for sharing the memories and precious moments...
