Holly's Party--The Beach Part

As I said, the party continued once we hit the beach!

According to Joss, when he goes really high in a swing and jumps out it is called going "Extendo High!" 

Then they discovered the water...

Joss and Pheonix (below) played like this getting splashed in the face for a long time. 

Holly had fun too... 

Joss & Pheonix are the same age and Pheonix is so much taller. His mama's name is 'Tamara' too, although she pronounces hers differently. We like to confuse folks around the island because she works for the Scuba Shop. Two white women with the same name, working in watersports... it's just unheard of around here :) 

As I was supervising and taking pictures of Joss playing in the water right here, Emit was begging for me to come and push him in the swing. I asked him to wait a minute because I couldn't leave Joss while he was at the water. There's only one of me (and Daddy wasn't there at this time), and I try to do as much as I can for both, but sometimes I do have to choose, and this time the water was a higher risk, so that was where I had to stay. 

Well, I walked back up after Joss came out of the water for a break and I see this look on Emit's face below (except it wasn't blurry). This picture breaks my heart now every time I see it because I know he wanted me to come and push him and I didn't. Thankfully Ann Ligon jumped to the rescue and gave him a couple pushes. I love this gal, and am thankful to have her right next door. 

Emit, I hope you forgive mommy. I love you sweet boy and I'm so proud of you swinging on the big swing!

Back to the water we all go...

and this time Emit wanted to be closer to the action.. I think he forgave me don't you :) 

HA HA, I love this photo of him here below... he's so excited about all the kids playing and running on the beach, and I actually got him mid-jump :) So cute!!!

I couldn't get my shutter speed figured out this evening. They were all moving so fast and it wasn't super bright out.... which resulted in a lot like this, but I don't care. I can see how much fun he's having still. 

These little rascals are crazy because the water was pretty chilly this night. 

Ah, pure joy!

Okay, so maybe he's feeling the cold now :) Think his nose and cheeks are a little pink?? 

Emit's going in a little more each time...
