SCOOTERS!

I missed this post somehow back before Christmas. This was the day CC gave them their Scooters from her and Poppy for Christmas! Sorry, I upload a lot of them at one time so I can post them easier at a later time, and this one got hidden in the mix :)
They have come such a long way for learning how to ride these things. They can get going really fast on them now (not so great for this momma's worrisome heart all the time).
I just love Emit's little 'skater dude' outfit he picked out this day :)
As you can see, we were up and at it early this day... CC's still in her jammies!
These guys are getting so big these days!!!!
When I was over in the states with my friend Jessica a couple weeks ago (I'll get to that trip on the blog), we were chatting one night about being Godly Mommies and all. She passed on an idea that her friend uses for Scripture Memory which was to put it on the door and each time you go outside to play you practice it.
Well, I loved that idea, so I started doing it with the boys when I got back. We've done two verses so far. The first one was, "Be kind to one another. Ephesians 4:32" and the one we are on right now is "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Proverbs 3:5".
I am so in love with hearing my boys recite Scripture... it is so precious! And they pick it up so fast, AND it is helping me to 'store it in my heart' too. The books of the Bible are the cutest part they say. For instance, Proverbs is pronounced 'Pro-sov-urbs' which I think is adorable!
It has really come in handy when they start fighting or bickering with one another too, because it helps me to stay calm and gentle (most of the time) and ask them to tell me our verse and then I ask them if they are doing that. The 'Be Kind' has been a big goal of ours lately.
There are so many things to be done in these precious lives. I also feel like I'm falling behind schedule (whose schedule...I don't know) and not doing enough and not being the mommy I'm supposed to be. Little things like this with the Bible Verses, make me feel like I'm doing something in the right direction :)
This picture below is the 'BIG HILL' up the road from our house. It will be so funny to bring the boys to this hill someday when they are older because it is not a big hill by any stretch of the term. It is a slope in the road at best :) But I think it is so sweet how they see it as a Big Hill. Just like I used to think our Mixon Road house was HUGE, but it was actually not quite that big in reality.
Pretty orchids in our neighbors yard...also another pic I like to use in our Praise Sets. This particular one is accompanied by Jeremy Camp's song called Overcome (AWESOME song by the way).
Oh, Emit was having fun with his CC :)
He was feeling like such a big boy on his scooter!
Thanks for the fun toys CC & Poppy... they LOVE these things!!!
