Surprise with CC!!!

My mom came to stay with the boys and me while Dallas was out on the trip with his dad because there was a lot of other work I had to do that week so I called for some back-up :) She surprised us by bringing a few extras with her :) Sweet Baby Xander and Bev came along too and totally surprised us!
I know my little guys had fun having CC & Bev & Xander around to play with them this week because I felt like I was running all over the place this week and it almost feels like a blur already.
Emit is a man of many faces :)
Xander seemed to really love the beach and the water. It was a bit chilly in the water still at this point, but as long as momma was holding on tight, he seemed to be just fine.
The boys have their CC... they can't ask for much more!
Bev & Xander!
Adorable little beach baby!!
I love that he's wearing this little hat here. It has been worn by all of the littles now, and was passed on to them from Poppy. I still don't know how it ever fit my dad, but it did :)
CC became the Turtle Whisperer this trip. She's seen the turtles before, but they were very friendly this week with her.
You can tell my boys and I are used to warmer water... we were sissy's in the cold water and couldn't stay in long.
CC petting her friend!
Bev and Xander getting some strokes in too.
Emit and me chilling on the dock. We actually fell asleep up here together all snuggled up, and slept hard for a bit. I don't even know how long it was, but it was a GREAT nap :)
Joss couldn't resist getting back in for a bit after he warmed up some.
My sleepy little buddy after our nap.
The boys wanted Xander to do story time with us. Xander seemed way more interested in Joss and Emit than sitting still reading stories this night. Although he did make it through one or two stories.
One story we read was one of the books the boys got back in their Christmas countdown is this one called "The Pout Pout Fish." They love this book, and we have our own little way of reading it, and we get really animated at the "Bluuuub" parts. The first couple of times we read it this week the blubs scared Xander every time. But toward the end of the week, he liked the blubs and even grinned a couple of times when we'd read it :) Little Stinker!
It was such a relief knowing Joss and Emit were back home playing and having fun while I was running up and down the island launching people on trips, picking folks up and taking care of business while Dallas was away.
They've had to tag along with me in the past, so I know they were thankful to have a little more fun this week too :) Thanks to CC & Aunt Bev & Little Xander!
I think this outing at the beach took them all by surprise because they are all in their regular clothes instead of swimsuits!
Can't beat a bath with glow sticks! (please ignore the glue gunk on the tub-ewww)
Except for a dark bath with glow sticks!
CC getting Spidey Kisses!
Emit being cute for the camera!
This picture makes me so sad...this was moments before Emit started throwing up on my and didn't stop for almost 2 days :(
Okay, I have to tell you this little story.  It's a little gross...so bare with me. Joss is my TALKER! He can talk, talk, talk, talk... and then you guessed it, talk some more. He has a really hard time stopping sometimes, even when I ask him over and over and over to stop. So, when he started getting "sick in the mouth" as they called it (also throwing up), he would be trying to talk in between....um...hurls, is that the right word? Head in the bucket throwing up like crazy trying to talk. And one time as he was throwing up he said, "mommy....why did.....Xan.....der.....give us.....this....sick?" :( We don't blame poor Xander at all Bev, but that cracked me up...poor baby can't even stop talking when he needs to. LOL
I love this set with Emit and Xander. Emit's wondering what to think....
But then he loves it :)
Joss is moments away from getting sick too :(
Before it was over we all got sick and wiped out completely with this flu bug or stomach bug that swept through except for Bev. It was crazy. That was definitely the sickest I've been in a long long time. I had to carry along little 'emergency bags' with me in the truck in the event that I got sick while transporting guests. NOT FUN!
Isn't this sweet boy Precious!?!?!! :)
CC found some slower paced activities for these guys while they were recovering. They were with me over my birthday, so it was fun getting to open some goodies that morning. This was one day I didn't have to work. We were all still pretty sick, but it was much easier feeling poorly at home than out and about.
Proof that I did get to spend a little time holding Xander! I didn't get to spend a ton of time loving on this sweet boy, but I got a few snuggles in. Poor Emit still looks pretty out of it this morning.

Me and all the boys watching the big dump truck at the end of our sidewalk.
Taking things nice and slow still.

CC brought some shirts and ink to do some tye-dye fun with the boys.
It took them a few minutes to figure out what they were doing, but they caught on quickly.
Joss looks so different in this picture above to me. He just looks like a big boy.
The reveal was very exciting :)
And then it was back to the trees!

Pretty sure Xander thinks Joss and Emit are crazy little dudes :) Wonder what gives him that impression...
Xander was sweet to share his Ebee Baby shows with the boys too. He loves this little show, it reminded me of how captivated Joss used to get by the Backyardigans.
CC's roughing it here with her boys, huh?
We had to do a little photo shoot with our new t-shirts :)
CC with her boys above...and the whole crew below! Post puking and all happy :)
Gorgeous last day on the beach!
You can tell Dallas was still holding the camera ;)
My sweet little dudes (in need of haircuts, but totally adorable)! I love you sweet boys :)
WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
I love Emit's little fingers above..so cute!
Bev getting Joss ready to help Xander stand.
Isn't the little onesie Bev made for Xander to wear cute? She had him in that when they met my mom in the airport for their trip down on my mom's b-day.
We sure make some cute boys in this family :)
One final swim with the turtles for this trip.
They didn't both Xander one little bit.
This sweet boy is gonna fit right in with his island cousins ;)
I love this one...
E for Emit!!!!
Silly Movin' and Funky Haired Joss!
Another great week with family. Always goes by so quickly. Next time hopefully we'll be able to have fun without the sickness interfering. Thanks for the great surprise you guys! Love y'all bunches :)
