CC & the Piggies

After going to the Barretarre Regatta (here's a link to one post), the boys wanted to take CC up to see the little pigs and to the rock monster (aka- blow hole).
It was a pretty cloudy day, but we went anyway.
Somewhere around this time, we were talking about the months of the year in school. Still working on those, because they are just tricky, and well, we just haven't put forth a solid effort to learn them all just yet. But we were working on them and they boys were saying the different months. At one point they called September "Septuary". It was so cute, and one of those things I don't want to correct, but they haven't even continued to call it that since then. Precious innocence that passes by way too quickly
We had a gorgeous ride up to the pigs on Black Cay (about 40 minutes away from Georgetown).
These pigs are at a great location for us, the ones up by Staniel Cay take about 2.5 hours to get to. They weren't shy at all when we came pulling up in the boat.
Here, piggy piggy!
My mom has always loved pigs! She's collected them since I was a little girl. When Dallas and I were dating, he noticed my mom had a 'thing' for pigs. He gave her a pig fram with a picture of him and his brother, Jeremy, with the pigs by Staniel Cay. I think there was a new level reached in their relationship over that gift :)
These pictures remind me that my mom got sunburnt so badly over this short time we were out in the sun this day. Last I heard, she still has marks on her back from the burn this day. Another red flag going up that something was really off.
In spite of the rain clouds, it was still a beautiful day on the water.
The boys loved sharing their new playground with CC.
The blow hole wasn't really blowing because we were there during low tide on this day. So instead they had fun playing their sea turtle game with her.
CC, the turtle whisperer!
Emit loves to find treasures!
We headed back after we got rained on for about 40 minutes and started to freeze. My mom thought we were a bit crazy for being cold in the rain, but the boys and I all had the shivers, just like the 'Three Little Bears in the Spooky Old Tree'!
We left when there was a little gap in rain clouds, and hoped we'd make it back before the next one caught us.
Dallas was going to try to troll a bit on the way back, but about the time he got the rods set, we noticed a cloud closing in quickly and we could see the rain heading for us.
The boys and I were tucked inside our hatch just after this photo got snapped. I sat on the floor and they both squeezed on my lap. My mom and Dallas stayed out in the rain :(
We were happy to get back to the dock and our dry house where a warm cup of coffee was on the afternoon agenda!
