Chaos Cruise 2013- Eleuthera Part 4 (and FINAL)

Finally, I have made it to the end of our Chaos Cruise (BACK IN JUNE)!!! Oh man, I get so bummed thinking of how far behind I am, but I am DETERMINED to get caught up and not skip over anything. My future self will be thankful :)
Picking back up here with our day exploring Harbour Island. Did anyone notice the name of the food store up a the top of this post?? Pigly Wigly...all the way down here. I still can't get over how busy the ferries and docks were going back and forth from the mainland to Harbour Island.

Emit was so tired after our Harbour Island exploring that he sort of crashed in the van. He wasn't completely asleep because he would slowly scoop handfuls of goldfish crackers into his mouth. He just couldn't decide if he was more tired or more hungry. I just thought he looked beautiful sitting there in the sun with his dashing eyelashes. I could just squeeze him...
Next up we have Hatchet Bay Caves. They were back down the island the way we came earlier in the day. I love the pasture lands and fields on Eluethera. It made me feel like we were somewhere entirely different. "Exploring we a go!"
The boys loved being in the cave and exploring. They had some of Daddy's headlamps on and were brave little explorers :) I love doing stuff like this with them. It reminds me of how and why we call our company "Out-Island Explorers". At one point when we were way down in the cave, we all stopped so we could turn off all our lights and see pitch black. The boys thought that was so cool. I SO wish I could have seen their little faces with all the lights off. I know how big my own eyes were trying to snag a spark of light from anywhere possible.

We entered the cave at one place and exited a little further along. We couldn't see the cars at all, but there was a pretty distinct trail to follow. That just added to the excitement...pretending we were 'lost'.
We let the boys get up high on shoulders to scout and tell us which way to go. It was pretty exciting for them when we could actually see the cars off in the distance.
The next night we went to Governor's Harbour (where a friend of ours, Esther, is from) for dinner. We headed to a little spot right on the water. Of course, more exploring was called for while we waited for food. So we headed to the little settlement up the road. And we found Chickens to chase! I wasn't really sure it was polite to chase someone else's chickens so we continued on...at least until we found some seagulls to chase :)
I LOVE this family photo Erin took of us! Thank you :)
Our gang on the last night out on the town...
We had to bust a few moves when the music came on. I love the pictures with Bob and Joanna and Natalie. Such sweet expressions!
Above you see Joss and his 'treasures' aka--bottle caps. They are in abundance around just about anywhere we go.

Lastly, we have an item now on my "Wish List" :) Richard, the 'man-in-charge' over at Camp Bahamas, where we stayed this week, restored this old Volkswagen van for his wife. It is now sitting there :( It has manual breaks and transmission, but man oh man... I would love to drive this baby here in Exuma. Can't you picture it?? Picking up our kayakers with this and a couple kayaks on top? :) Perfect!!
The boys had fun testing out all the toys in the yard :) Erin got some more really cute pictures of the boys...
Overall, Eleuthera was a great week and we had a lot of fun. I had a heavy heart and was very concerned for my mom. I really just needed a lot of quiet time in prayer. Most of my evenings were spent in the bunk house with the boys in prayer and devotion. For that time, I am thankful. Had I been at home, I may have been distracted elsewhere and not given the time the Lord knew I needed in His word.

For all my girlfriends that emailed me during this time and sent encouragement, I thank-you from the bottom of my heart!
