Cruising in the Catalina

This was the very early stages of my beast of a project I did for a couple building a house down here. I did their bathroom vanities and their kitchen. Would have been a lot easier on me if it hadn't been out of the hardest wood known to mankind. Okay, so I don't actually know what the hardest wood out there is, but Greenheart has to rank in the top 5. It's gorgeous lumber, but I had a huge learning curve working with it.
Ann Ligon took my boys out with her and her fellas for a few hours one day so I could get some more done on my Greenheart project. She snapped these next photos out there. Love the ones of Emit!
We have officially lost some Baby Teeth!
Joss was talking on the phone to my mom and the first one came out. Then, less than 5 minutes later, the second one popped out. Very little drama or excitment leading up to the actual falling out which I was thankful. I don't have any desire to actually pull teeth out... so thankful they just fell out easily. Praying we are just as lucky with the rest. I had to get the 'tooth fairy' to throw something together that night that she could leave his treat in.
He was pretty thrilled about his little tooth pillow as well as the 'monies' inside! Island living is expensive, so the tooth fairy wanted to give him enough to actually be able to get something ;)
Zoe & Snapper (the Morton's dog) are BFFs. They wrestle and chase each other all day long, and are always ready for a good night's rest.
We took the Catalina out while Dallas' parents visited one weekend. It's a great little boat. I hope we get to take it out on some longer trips this coming summer :)
The boys had fun and were having fun making all kinds games up while we were on board.
This is one of my favorite pictures of Joss right now (above). I just love his expression and the pretty blue water behind him. Sweet little freckles...Life is Good! :)
I even took a turn at the helm! As long as we weren't near other boats I felt confident, and the fact that I had my hubby and master sailor father-in-law at arms length to take over if need-be!
Sailing is rapidly becoming a favorite among the Knowles Family! The more we do it, the more we love it. I guess it is a good thing we do sailing trips for a living, huh? ;)
Emit decided he was ready to ride his bike like a big boy when we came home too. He had no desire to put his training wheels back on after we took them off for the trip down. He did AWESOME!!
Lots of ZOOMING around here now!!
