Finally... Emit's practically 5 by now, but this is for his 4th birthday!! Here's a few of the questions and answers to his b-day interview. My favorite one is his favorite drink. He likes, and I quote, "milk....the good kind, and chocolate milk!" And by 'the good kind' he means milk that isn't sour. Around this time our mailboat had a few unfortunate shipments of milk, and almost everyone we brought home from the store had gone bad by time we got it home. That's the 'bad milk' he's referring to :)
We started off with our traditional birthday door that they wake up to! This was a little one I picked up in the states, but he thought it was really cool :) And as usual, we have super fancy and really cute and photo worthy decorations with Christmas paper and everything mixed in. I'm glad the boys don't care, because I would love for it to be the 'pinterest' party setup every time, but it isn't. I know they enjoy their b-days though because for the rest of the year they get excited planning their next cake and their next birthday.
We usually wake up to goodies and start the day off with gifts. Then we do something fun, usually take them out to lunch somewhere special and then we have cake later in the afternoon (so there's still time to come off the sugar high before bedtime).
Sweet Brothers!!!! (most of the time)
They even got to play a little X-Box with Emit's new game he got. That could have been the only treat for the day and they would have been content. They are their Daddy's children... they love that stupid x-box so much. We have to limit their time on it to only like 20 minutes a week now because they get so out of control if they play it more than that.
Next up...CAKE!!!!
Emit asked for a Sonic cake this year... I did the best I could, and he loved it!! We had the neighbors over for an impromptu cake party on the messy porch. Then we were off to the beach to enjoy the rest of the day in style... rainboots and all :)
We had a gorgeous afternoon running and playing on the beach and enjoying our beautiful surroundings.
Happy Birthday, my "Brave Warrior"! You mean so much to your daddy and me. We are so proud of the little man that you are, and praying for the man you will become someday. Love you bunches!!!
