Round these parts...

A day would rarely go by (and still holds true) that the boys didn't put on their costumes. I've been escorted on errands many times with Superheroes at my side.
"One day of rain, does not a day's work inside make"
When a trailer's broken, it has to be fixed. We lost two sea pearl trailers and the kayak trailer this week. All needed repairs and time spent on them. Just proof that our season was getting underway again.
If Daddy was out working in the rain, the boys weren't going to miss out on the fun either. We are all boy around here...dirt, mud, bugs--all add up to a good time to be had :)
Of course after a fun afternoon playing in the mud, you have to get a bath...and make the whole bathroom just as muddy as the outside!
We even like SPIDERS from time to time...only Banana Spiders though. YIKES, this was a little weird for me, but Joss loved it. He kept wanting to catch more spiders, but we tried to tell him that the spiders prefer to be in their webs than snatched out and held. {{eeeeekkk, gives me the shivers}}
I love their desire to explore and study critters and things like this. If you've ever seen the show,
WILD KRATTS on PBS, then you know that these guys could have a fun career ahead of them if
this keeps up!
We had our annual Thanksgiving Dinner once again. We got tents setup this year and had lots of extra chairs outside in the driveway. Lots of folks came, tons of food, and we were well underway and then it RAINED, no it POURED!!!
Next thing I know we had about 30 people inside our house (it's not that big for those of you that have never been there) and little kids climbing all over our brand new couch with wet feet and food and drinks. I was very nervous for a while, but everything worked out just fine. The rain eventually stopped and we got everyone back outside.
We Play HARD around here. The game of choice for the boys, usually the youngest three, (Joss, Emit & Hagen), has been Baby Dragons, Ninjas or Skylanders. They all pick (or get told by an older boy) which character they want to pretend to be, mostly just the color, and then they all get to pick (or again get told by an older boy) which POWERS they have. It takes longer to sort all this out than it does for them to actually get to play the game. And they all start arguing on have "ALL THE POWERS IN THE WORLD" instead of just one or two super powers :)
These were just a few pics I snapped one afternoon while Emit and I had a little date together at our beach. Love sweet times like these with my boys!!
 In the 'fall' we started having a lot of bonfires. It's a lot easier to stay out a little later with the boys these days, and we've been enjoying it. They have this particular area marked for development for ANOTHER high end home for a family that may live in it for about a month out of the year, so we'll have to find another good spot for our bonfires when that happens :( Good thing we have lots of beautiful beaches to choose from.
 This life we live.... We sure do love it!!!!  Lord, we truly thank-you!
