Well, I just finished signing Emit a lullaby-- Songs from the Beatles Rock Band that Dallas has been after me to sing with him on :) I think Emit liked it-- he's asleep for now! Now that I have a few spare minutes I'll try see if I can finish this post.
Big Brother Joss 'holding' his "BEE-BEE". Notice their cute little matching outfits from Grammy--'BIG BROTHER' and 'little brother'. It still blows my mind that Joss is the BIG BROTHER. He's a wonderful one, but he's still my baby too. He's still being so sweet with Emit. I was trying to get him to say "HI EMIT" earlier today and it came out "Hi-Mit" :) I thought it sounded really sweet.
Last week Emit got his "pencil sharpened" (as our friend Jeannie likes to refer to circumcisions). It was insane because Joss' was done in the hospital before he and I were released, but Emit's was done a week later and they had us in the room to help hold him still for the procedure. He wasn't fighting us off because of the pain (according to the doctors), but just because he was restrained and having to lay still. Needless to say it wasn't a fun thing to be a part of. Luckily the doctor's hand blocked my view from most of the stuff. Dallas said it was quite the bondng experience for him and Emit. He came through like a trooper though and is all better now. For me, showers are very relaxing and therapeutic. When I'm sick or hurt or just need to relax..that's what I do for ME :) At the end of my pregnancy with Joss, I pretty much lived in my nice hot shower, so you can imagine how much I have missed having one the passed few weeks. I got the okay on Wednesday that I could get my stitches wet and take a real bath or shower, so I was very much looking forward to that on our first night back home. That was a long way of saying I was looking forward to my shower, but oh well :)

Joss seemed to be really happy about being home again too. Within the first five minutes we were in the door he had placed bunch of his toys on the coffee table and climbed up in the middle of them all excited. He was running around all over the place. It took him a while to go down for his nap because he could see all his toys in his room and it was driving him crazy not to be playing with them.
He really had a lot of fun on his little tricycle. He still can't quite reach both pedals, but he sits on it and leans off to one side and scoots his way around. He tried stuffing Hippo in the trunk shortly after this picture on it. No way was Hippo gonna miss out on all the fun around the house. When he went outside, he was kissing all the palm trees by the turtle pond and enthusiastically saying hi to the turtles-- yeah, I think he was glad to be home :)
"Black fish, blue fish, old fish, new fish.
This one has a little STAR.
This one has a little car."
Joss gets excited whenever he sees stars (along with a few other things). I asked him if he wants a star on his belly like the fish and he clearly replied with a "YESH!" The rest of the day he was saying hi to his star and showing it off very proudly. I even saw him trying to kiss it one time LOL, but of course I didn't get it on video.
Well, I've been working on this for a while and Emit has been sleeping like a good boy. I've been not so smart because I should have been sleeping too...so I'm gonna go now. I'm sure he'll wake up as soon as I turn off the computer, but hopefully he'll just eat and go back to sleep for me. Until next time!!

Great pics! I am going to put that star belly picture in my Dr. Seuss bathroom. Emit is so tiny! I can't get over how much he looks like his BIG BRO. I love and miss you lots! Hope to see you soon!
Awwww! All so cute :0) Love the photo's of Emit - he is so beautiful!!! Ready for the beach in his Rash Guard? Joss is just adorable with his gratitude and love for "all" things... Glad you are feeling better. I tell dad all the time that water is my therapy - I especially love to soak in a hot bath!!!
I love their matching outfits!! And I can't believe how much Joss is still changing week to week. He is starting to look like a little toddler. They are both so precious. I hope you continue to feel better and better. In no time at all you will be running around chasing TWO little boys!!!!!
Love you! xoxoxoxo
