Bloggin' Ain't Easy (part 2)

Well, I promised another post really quickly so here we go :) I've got tons of videos and pics that I need to get up on Phanfare, but I'm trying to get a variety on here to hold you over. Joss & Emit had a slow paced and enjoyable Easter Sunday. Unfortunately, we haven't really been attending a regular church lately. There's a few different reasons, but we're still getting our sermons at least. We've been attending Church Online that Kevin (soon-to-be brother in-law) introduced us to. It's an actual interactive church all around the world and you can tithe and join bible study groups, etc. We've been catching the service during nap time, and it's been really nice to hear a whole service again. ANWAY-- I was talking about Joss' & Emit's Easter...
I let Joss help me dye some Easter eggs so we could play with them. He liked seeing them go in white and come out a different color. He wanted to hold them right away :)
We did a little egg hunt out in the yard. Emit was napping, so I don't really have any of him out here. Joss had a lot of fun time finding them.
He was looking for this orange one right behind his head :) We were trying to point it out to him because this was one of the first ones he found up off the ground. He finally found it.
After a few rounds of finding them he was ready to move on to something else...Jumping off the stairs sounds good!
Dallas' mom came to stay with us for the long Easter weekend (it's a 4 day weekend down here). We tried to do a little exploring with her... Here we are down on Little Exuma at an old salt beacon (we've been here before in some pics). I'm not a huge fan of how I look in this next picture, but I just couldn't pass up on Emit's expression :) I just love it!
Joss wasn't so sure about sitting on the canon, but he liked being next to it. It was sooo windy up here this day. You can barely see the white caps in the water, but they are there, and it was blowin'.

Going to the slide by "chewwch" has become a routine outting for us. Joss asks to go there everyday. Most days we can go, but we've had to start using that as a reward for good behavior on some days that he's just a little too grumpy. He's so smart and I really think he can understand us. That's why it kills me when he just flat out ignores us.
It's nap time as I sit here and type this, and Dallas is taking a nap on the couch too. It is soooo quiet :) It's almost scary because I can here myself think. I usually get overwhelmed listing off my things I need to do or check on in my head, but not today.

I get so thankful for our simple little life down here sometimes when I hear all the chaos going on back home or all the "stuff" people can get busy with. A lot of times the "fun stuff" sounds like so much work. Don't get me wrong, I stay busy with my work related stuff and my various projects, but we don't have all the extra stuff that would occupy our time if we lived elsewhere. My ministry right now is my boys, and I am confident that I am doing exactly what the Lord wants me to be doing right now.
I love how Dallas' job allows him to spend most of his days with us and we do everything together as a family. I try to never take that for granted. I'm definitely spoiled to it now, so I pray this business grows and makes it so that we don't have to go back to a 9-5 setup again.
I know Joss enjoys having Daddy around too. Whenever he is gone for a trip or just out doing something without us Joss is constantly asking, "where Daddy-doe?" And then when he pulls into the driveway Joss yells "Yay, Daddy Home!"
We had some kayaks to pick up the other day in the harbor, so we took a little detour and stopped by Starfish Beach first to go for a little swim and play with some starfish of course. While we were anchored on the beach Emit decided to do some exploring on the boat. Making sure everything was to his liking.
Don't worry CC and Poppy, the boat is not moving in this picture :) He looks pretty cute in that hat doesn't he Poppy ;) He's working on getting his sea legs under him.
We had some visitors on this outting. We don't always get to see the dolphins in the harbor, but every now and then they drop in and surprise us. Joss was very excited to see them. He stayed right by the boat for the longest, so Joss got to see him going up and down for a while.
I intentinally left this little part of the boat in this picture. Take a nice close look at our "Broke-Up old boat". We're working on getting engines put on our "new" boat. Until then we are praying that "9 Lives" hangs in there and stays afloat.
In closing, in addition to all his little accomplishments recently, I'm pretty sure Emit is saying both "Moma" & "Dada" these days. Officially he said Dada first. I guess that's only fair since Joss said Moma first :) I don't mind sahring that with Daddy! I've got a little clip that I'll try to get posted (on Phanfare) soon.
Up next we have tales of lizards, sink holes & poop...

What a fun egg hunt for Joss - love the egg hiding in the conch shells! Oh, how cute Emit is in Poppy's hat :0) The water is so clear where Joss is swimming at Star Fish beach - he was definetly enjoying his playtime and without "wings!" I love Emit's little facial expressions - they each tell a story of a happy baby... Thanks for the new images and thoughts!!!
Love and prayers - Grammy CC

I love to read all the little stories from the "post-its"! I know it must be so frustrating when you finally have a free minute and then it crashes but we LOVE your updates!!! I agree with Bev it makes us not feel so far apart because we still know the little things the boys are doing these days. I LOVED hearing Emit baby talk the other day on the phone.
xoxo
