"Playin' with the boys"

Guess who came to see us again....Aunt BEV!!! Dallas had a big sailing trip go out this week and I was really excited when Bev said she could come back and help me with the boys so soon. She and I were both saying how we could get used to seeing each other every month :)

In this picture with Hippo Joss was wanting Hippo to wear big boy pants...once I got them on Hippo he wanted them back off, but I had to snap a quick pic of course. These are Joss' pouty lips :)
Joss insisted on taking his little wagon to the beach the other day. He even took it for a swim :) We'll see how long it holds up under those conditions. I should try to make myself "presentable" for some good pictures while I have Bev here, but oh well I'm never "presentable" these days anyway!

One of the many faces of Emit :) He was so cute the other day in the floor playing with this little turtle. He of course thinks he can walk anywhere and do anything that Joss is doing, and I'm sure in no time he will be.

We got out on the boat the other day to enjoy some of the Regatta races. I posted more pics on our Facebook Page if you want to see more. It was a really neat experience. We had gone out before during the races, but we had never really followed them along like we did on this day. We had a boat full of folks that were going on the sailing trip, so of course they were all very excited about the races (made it even more fun for us).

Joss has been having more and more fun with little "craft activities" lately. Down below he was coloring with some markers :) Granted he colored himself the most...but he was having fun. The other day we made homemade play dough that was SUPER easy and a lot of fun. I think Joss had the most fun with all the cookie cutters and Emit kept trying to eat it, but it was hit!

I LOVE watching these little guys interact when they are playing. Emit was all the way across the room when Joss started playing with this toy, but he just had to see what it was all about. Joss then decided to "run away" from Emit and Emit continued to chase him down... again, another video I've tried uploading on here.

I really love this shot of them playing with their barn. It makes me sooo glad that we had them as close together as we did. Sure sometimes it gets crazy, but I really think for my personality that will always be the case :) I just love this though. Joss really enjoys having a play buddy around, and even more as Emit gets older. They play so well already though-- makes mommy very proud and happy to see that.

This last weekend was a very bitter sweet one in our family. My dad's mom passed away after a long battle with various health problems. My mom and dad have lost both of their parents now, so that has been pretty tough on them. On a much happier note however, Jeremy & Heather had little man Mason. He is adorable and is a wonderful addition to our family. I know Joss and Emit will always look forward to hanging out with him. Congrats you guys!!!

We are enjoying our last evening with Bev before she has to go home. Joss has already said she can't go back... we'll see if we can figure out a way to keep her :)
