Almost this time last week (on Saturday) we were taking CC & Poppy out on the boat for our last full day with them. Joss actually woke up this morning calling for CC & Poppy and saying he wanted them to come play with him. I hate telling my mom these things because it always makes her sad, but I also think she enjoys knowing that Joss is thinking of her, so.. hopefully it will put a smile on your face and warm your heart (and not make you sad).
We went out spearing for dinner that night, and we were very successful. I've even got a video here of my dad spearing a crawfish---Way to go Poppy!!
Joss loves getting in the water, but I think he gets even more excited about climbing the ladder out of the water and in to the boat :) The whole time he's swimming he's saying, "Go cwime lah-la!" Man, once he realizes all the stuff he can see under the water, we'll never be able to get him out.
I put this next one on our Out-Island Explorers blog last week, but I just loved these moon jellyfish. They were everywhere. I haven't seen them since, but we haven't been out the reefs a lot this week, so they could easily still be around.
My mom and dad gave me and Dallas a few minutes kids-free to snorkel and search for more crawfish. I love my boys, don't ever doubt that... but it's always nice to get a little break like that every now and then. Besides, they were only a few yards away in the boat, but even that doesn't happen very often for me especially. Dallas and I are usually taking turns if we're out like this, so it was fun being in there together.
He knew there was one more crawfish that he had seen, but he couldn't find it so I started helping him look. We were looking for a while, but it was in a really beautiful spot that had fish all over the place. I was getting distracted by all the LIFE around us that I almost forgot we were looking for food. Anyone that has been crawfishing knows you have to dive down and look up under the reefs to find them (most of the time anyway), so that's what we were doing. And I was so excited when I found it :) Dallas was a few yards away and of course I was trying to get his attention (by yelling under water, LOL). Once I got Dallas to come over, we had to find the ledge I found him under again, but there were only about 3 to pick from in that spot... so he went down and got him no problem. That's what I call a good team :)
We went home so the boys could get some naps and we could grab a bite to eat. The days ALWAYS run smoother when my boys stick to their routines and get good naps for me. Some people probably think I'm anal about their sleeping schedules... but I don't give a rip :) It keeps my boys happy and they do so much better with a routine.
We headed out shortly after they woke up and went out for some good snorkeling and beach time. I was thoroughly enjoying the extra hands around so that I could do some snorkeling myself. Joss was enjoying doing his little trick for CC & Poppy:
Of course we saw more of the beautiful moon jellyfish.
My dad was a good sport and was my snorkel buddy at this spot. We went all around the reef and back again. We saw the jellyfish, a turtle, a sting ray, and tons and tons of fish. Hopefully he had as much fun as I did. It's always nice to have someone else in the water with you.
Afterwards we hung out at the beach that we had anchored the boat off on this tiny little island. The boys were having a blast. Emit was giving the wings a shot... he really liked them. The water was really shallow, but he had such a look of pride on his little face every time he was "on his own" (with someone inches away).
Joss came running up to me when we came back from snorkeling so excited to show me what he had done... I'm sure Daddy helped a little, but he made this little sea fan display below and was so proud :) Who needs toys?
Emit looks like such a big boy with these wings on. He's not happy to just be held anymore though. He wants to be walking or wearing these and doing it his way. (SLOW DOWN, SWEET BOY)
I think it's safe to say that this last full day was a very fun day for all involved. We had a wonderful week with CC & Poppy! We're looking forward to counting down to the next week we all get to see each other again, here or there.
Love you guys lots!!!!

I LOVE that picture of you touching the jelly fish. All your pictures are making me sit here and try to calculate how we can manage a visit to the Bahamas!
Sweet entry! I certainly have mixed emotions about Joss asking for us - love that he wants us to be there and thinks about us :0), but sad that we can't be :0(
Emit is so tiny to be taking off in the wings - but he has such joy in his expression being a big boy!!!
Thanks for the GREAT fun you and Dallas found for us to enjoy - my world has been gloomy since we returned home - I REALLY miss being with you all...
Looks like you guys had a wonderful time! Hopefully it won't be long before Aunt Bev and Uncle Kev get to visit. I love you guys so much!
