Good luck with the title on this one... sometimes that's the hardest part on my blog posts. I want them to be clever and creative and catchy, but most times my brain doesn't come up with anything :) I've got some pictures on here from last week that I didn't really have room for on the last one.
I'm trying really hard to get back on the cloth diaper train (mostly with Emit), because we are flying through diapers these days. Sometimes we go through 20 diapers a day... YIKES. I don't know how families with twins or more make it with diapers. I bought a pack of 174 diapers the other day for $64 and we're almost through them already. It just takes a lot more time and effort to do the cloth diapers, but it sure would help $$$.
Hopefully Joss is almost potty trained. He's getting better and better, but it's still a long ways off. I just made him another "Potty Train" chart this morning and each spot on the track is for a sticker that he gets each time he uses the potty. At the end of the track I drew (or tried to draw) a picture of a blue plane and a green slide (know what that is for CC???). His reward when he fills his chart up with stickers is to "get on that blue plane and fly to THAT green slide". Which in Joss world means to go fly and see CC & Poppy, Bev & Kevin! I'm hoping the timing will work out well and that he will work on filling up his chart and maybe we can go spend some time there next month. We'll see how things go, but I'm getting excited about the idea. He's already earned 3 little stickers and 1 BIG sticker this morning YAY!!!
I just came in from playing outside with the boys. It's nice and cloudy, but without a drop of wind it is very muggy and hot. We were riding bikes and walking up and down the street to the main road to get cars to honk, then playing with our toys on the ramp, climbing trees, chasing "wizards" (lizards) and then we started a game of hide and seek. Joss is getting really good at this and is starting to pick up on the hiding part really well. He still peeks while I'm hiding, but that's okay :) I was laughing soooo hard though. Try to picture this with me if I can describe it good enough:
I'm holding Emit in my arms and Joss is wanting to hide. We stand at the counting tree and count out loud. Joss runs and hides in some palm tree leaves hanging down low right behind me. Emit's giggling the whole time I'm counting, and then we go to find Joss. Since he's standing right behind me I have to "try a little harder" to find him. I walk around looking in the trees, under the rocks, etc and then he starts saying "I'm like a baby owl, hooo hooo" (from one of our story books). So I follow the sound of the baby owl and I find him. Both boys get excited and giggle. Then he says, "You hide, you hide, I count". He counts out loud to 10. Most of the time he actually does count to 10, sometimes I'll hear a 13, 15, 18 in there (in his world those are before 10) :) Of course he's peeking the whole time, so I have to run a little further, but still give him a glimpse of where we are. As I squat down behind the truck or the bushes Emit, my noisy little partner, laughs really loudly and won't stop until Joss finds us. We try to run and hide again before he reaches us, and Emit's giggle is bouncing as we run and gets even louder. Anyway--- you get the idea, hopefully. I was laughing so hard that I almost gave us away more than Emit :) Joss is already asking to play more, so I've promised him some more hiding fun after his nap!

That sounds like a great "potty plan!" I'm proud he is may headway and will continue to make positive progress... The hide and seek story is GREAT - "I'm hiding like an owl!"
I'm so glad their laughter and fun keeps you motivated - we hope to see you soon and add some characters to the game of hide and seek :0)
Huge hugs and a million kisses -
Mom
