A little bit of this, a little bit of that....

We have had a ton of trips up in the cays to do resupply trips or one-way drop offs to Staniel Cay which means a lot of time in the boat lately. Most days turn out to be pretty fun for the boys. They get to see the "guana-ses" and the pigs and play on the iTouch during the long ride. The other day we actually got to go swimming in the water because the temperature was so nice. We went to Thunderball and had a blast!
Remember me telling you we did a campfire on the beach for Dallas' b-day dinner (that's one of the pics from that night above)?!

The shot of Joss on the bike above makes me laugh... I don't know that I would call him a "wild child" but he definitely has his moments. And the fact that his legs are blurry and the rest is clear is about right :)
Emit has been getting so interactive lately and is showing me just how smart he truly is. He knows how to make dog sounds and pig sounds. He is saying all kinds of things like "tu-tus" for turtles (I remember another little man who used to say it the same way), "muh-keen" for his Lightning McQueen car that he totes everywhere, "truck", "car", "bee-bee" for baby, and so many others.
He still loves to chew on these little spur things (above). I think they must feel really good to him right now because I'm pretty sure he's cutting more teeth.
 I....LOVE.....THESE.....BOYS!!!!!!
They were being so sweet and cooperative here :)
 Really, sweet brothers!
Joss runs around all the time these days with his imaginary buddies (Dezi, Bo, all the Dragons & Hiccup) and says they are his friends. And then he'll tell me, "Mommy......you're my bestest friend!" Talk about melting my heart! I just love it when he tells me that. I know it won't stay that way for long, but I will soak it up while I can. I tell him "You're my bestest friend too, Joss, and Emit & Daddy!" And he says, very enthusiastically, "YEAH!!!"
I'm sure my bestest friend is going to hate me one of these days for putting this next story of him up here, but I will say this. He is precious and totally innocent right now with this, and Baby, if you are reading this 10 years down the road and getting embarrassed... just know I still love you and you'll always be my bestest friend :)
We were watching Church Online yesterday and the boys were playing in their room and in the living room just kind of running back and forth. Well, Joss is still "running around like a naked boy" (means he's not wearing any bottoms) as much as he can get away with it. I think it's just because it is easier than messing with his undies when he needs to pee. ANYWAY....
He came running in to the room and proudly announces, "Look, my peepee is BIG!! See, look, it's big!" LOL Dallas and I couldn't help but laugh. I had to put it on here because this is where I document all this stuff :) Sorry if I offended anyone, but he was so proud and thought we would be so happy for him. He likes to announce it anytime it happens now. (Welcome to raising BOYS!! What am I in for???!!!)

Below Emit is asking, "Where Bee-bee?" (Where's the baby?) then he'll find it in the book and say his version of "There it is!" and then ask me again (same question).

I know it's blurry...but he's so happy. He's doing his "GOOD SHOT!!!" and the thumbs up that he has learned lately.
So, if I left it up to Emit, he would be doing every single thing his COOL BIG BROTHER is doing. Whether it is climbing on the trees, rocks, riding the bike, standing on the couch, jumping off the dock, etc. Emit wants to do everything just like Joss!!

Notice his little car above??? Lightning McQueen... one of his favorite toys these days.

Above Joss is trying to teach Hagen (who never wears clothes) how to do his "Nice Shot!" and thumbs up trick. Hagen couldn't quite get the thumbs up part down and Joss kept saying, "no, no, wif your thumb like dis" trying to get it to click with him. And below we have a perfect example of the Love/Hate Relationship Emit has with our kitties.
I don't feel too bad for the cats. They could run away if it really bothered them. They just like playing hard to get, and Emit loves it!
The other day I mentioned my next project...well, here it is!
This project is one that I liked, and will definitely use, but it is not one of the pieces I'm really anxious to do, but it has some things in it (like doors, corner pieces, lots of cuts with the circular saw, etc) that I wanted to try with the tools I have to see how and if I can do the other projects I have on my to-do list. There are a lot of imperfections and lessons I learned along the way, but that is all part of the fun and process in my book. And I guarantee you will never find one exactly like this one, which is also really cool to me.

I just participated in my first Webinar tonight on Homeschooling Curriculum, and boy oh boy am I excited! I'm about ready to order the stuff for the Pre-K for Joss which is mind-blowing to me, but also extremely exciting. So my next big wood project is to create a workspace for our office setup as well as a school area. I'm still trying to visualize the space and how I want things to go, but once I do... the fun will really begin :) (Jessica, then I could REALLY use your help getting organized!!) :)

So much energy - you and the boys!!! Gotta love Joss for being proud of what God gave him :0) The shot with the BIG Iguana looks like they are making a new friend - I thought those things were aggressive? Your cabinet looks great - you should be very proud of yourself and continue to work your talent... I'm brought to tears looking at their beautiful smiles and wish so badly I could just hug my wonderful grandsons :0)
Emit sure makes snack time look yummy :0)
I love you all...

The boys look like they're having fun! I'm guessing the backyard keeps them entertained pretty well. :)
