Plethora of Pictures

In my desperate attempt to catch up quickly on my posts, I'm going to do a lot of photo clusters for the time being :) I have a lot more photos to show than I have things to say, so it should work. This way I still get all my pictures in too!
This summer has been pretty great for us business-wise. We managed to do the summer camp for a few weeks to help and then Dallas started working with another one of the guys around here that works a lot with Sandals. I've been doing some woodworking here and there. Not a ton, but enough to keep me busy. And then our trips have been surprisingly steady for us too with rentals here and there and even a guide trip last week.
The boys have had fun PLAYING all summer :) We're about to start school--I'm going to shoot for around August 18 or 20th each year because that was my grandparent's birthdays and it will be easy to remember and make it another special reason to start that day. This year I was a little late in getting the curriculum ordered so we're shooting for next week or the first week in September to get the ball really rolling.
These pumpkin plants above are now in the ground and spreading, but I'm hoping to have some big ole pumpkins in a few weeks for Halloween :) Since we can't get them here on the island, this could be a fun tradition and something fun for the boys to be a part of. I am getting my 'feet wet' or I guess better would be 'my hands dirty' in the gardening. I've already managed to kill a couple tomato plants so I'm taking it nice and slow right now and when the weather cools off just a bit on this end I'll try to get more things going. I'm still working on my dirt bed too.

The photo set below= WORST DAY OF CAMP EVER!!!!!
As you can guess, we got caught on Stocking Island in a bit of a storm. It came and would not let up on us. Thundering over head, pouring down rain and lots of frightened little people. Sadly, Joss and Emit were the most scared and we were there to comfort them. I couldn't just pick them up and hold them like I wanted to because we had to take care of all the kids, but they were so pitiful it broke my heart. Needless to say, we cuddled a whole lot when we got them home safely.
Another day of camp was spent sailing a bit off our beach at the house and feeding our turtle friends of course! Don't you just love Emit's readiness with the mask and snorkel on while sailing?

And below...my swim with the beautiful dolphins in the harbor! They were right off the beach from Chat-n-Chill. We were getting ready to leave, saw them out in the harbor, headed out, jumped in and...
Joss jumped in with me for a quick peek at them. He was just as excited as mommy was :) It was pretty cloudy in the water that day, so I couldn't get really clear shots of them. I did get about 3 feet away from touching one. He was watching me and slowly rolling over right in front of me. He just barely swam off just before I touched him, but he didn't go far. Such a cool thing to see and do! Next time I suppose I'll have to share with Dallas because he didn't get a turn this day (sorry babe, I got a little distracted).
We took the kids to hike up to the salt beacon on Stocking Island one day for camp too. It was fun and the kids enjoyed it, but the mosquitoes in the bush on the way up just about killed us all. They didn't need to be told twice to walk quickly on the way back down.
After our hike we took a nice little dip in the water to cool off...
And this was just the beginning of this day of camp. There's lots more to come on this day alone :)

I know what it's like to have a group of youngsters to care for, but even on the tough days, WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE for the kids... Love your photos - they really capture the island feel ;0) I could see some unhappy little guys in the stormy weather, but I happy to hear everyone got home safely and HUGS were plentiful :0) Beautiful memories, and where have our babies boys gone, they are such little guys now - I'm ready for some Joss and Emit hugs...
