Before I forget these pics from Bev & CC's phones...
I was busy going through all my old stuff in my parent's basement getting ready to ship the last bit of stuff I had there down here. I came across old notes, letters, journals... and MY BARBIES :) Since I don't have a little girl to pass them on to, we kept two and gave the rest of them to my niece, Olivia, and some little girls my mom has taken under her wing.
The boys had a blast toting these Barbies around everywhere.
Bath time was especially fun when the Barbies became super powerful torpedoes :)
Joss & Jake were hilarious playing with them one day. Jake took a few home with him too, and every time he came over to play this trip he would bring them with him. I love the pure innocence of it all too. They don't care that they are girls toys, they just find enjoyment out of anything they can :)
This trip brought a lot of emotion with it for me. This was probably the last time I will be at this house and visiting my parent's in Alabama. My dad has been relocated to Missouri which they are excited about, but they have been here about 16 years, and for a former Army family... that's a long time to be in one spot. I've quickly approached the longest time I've ever spent in one place here in Exuma. If you count the time we lived here before and add it to the time we've been here now... this is the longest I've lived anywhere. Jacksonville was always "Home Base" as my sister put it.
We moved around when I was a kid, but grandparents and family always lived in this area. We left for college, moved for jobs, moved with our own families, but this place was always there to turn to. Now it will be all new territory. It is excited, but emotional nonetheless.
Once again, we decided to drive to Atlanta the night before so we wouldn't have to get up quite so early before our flight back home the next morning. This was a little photo opp we took in the back of the hotel.
It was most definitely tricky to get all eyes looking, with a halfway decent smile and of course the most important...camera in focus and proper settings.
We got a few cute ones I think :) Not bad for an amateur, but I sure had some cute little fellas as my target making anything look a lot cuter,.
Emit & Poppy doing the "Poppy Dance"...which is basically moving your index fingers up and down for any of you out of the loop. Very technical moves :)
Poppy and his boys...
Emit killing us all with his little glare :)
Attack CC!!!
Kisses for Poppy!
I LOVE this one of Xander and Poppy... so CUTE!!!
This one too. I think he started doing this cute little nose scrunch these couple weeks we were with them, and it was adorable. I have lots of baby pics of me doing this little scrunch too, runs in the family buddy :)
When you have open spaces, it is an excellent time to RUN out some energy.
And boy do we have energy to spare.
Wish this wasn't blurry, but I can still see how much fun they were having.
This one too... Racing is always a hit with these two. As long as Joss wins and Emit doesn't really care.
Tuckered out from all that runnin'. I love how his tongue is out and everything.
Takin breaks.
Swinging!
Wrestling...
Posing...
So handsome! I just love some of the new clothes my mom and sister go them too.
Putting them in the corner...
Don't worry, they weren't in trouble, just trying to get a few more quick pics. Emit was still happy here, but then...
Joss was starting to scrunch in too much and stress Emit right out. (Happens easily) ;)
My bed buddies the night in the hotel. Thank goodness we had a big ole bed, but they were so worn out it didn't even matter.
And obviously... we made it home safely. Had a nice visit in Bama, but it is always nice to get home to your own bed and routines.

I LOVE how they played with and enjoyed a few days of including the Barbies in their activities! I can remember the FUN TIMES you had with them...and a few of my own childhood memories with them ;0) The trip was filled with mixed emotions, sorry, it is always so stressful for you. We absolutely LOVE having you visit, just never easy knowing it will go by so quickly! Hopefully, you will ALWAYS feel welcomed and loved regardless of where we may live...but it has been a WONDERFUL Home Base, and I treasure each memory we have made at 4468 Pleasant Valley Road :0)
Loved our photo session and LOVE the GRANDS! Poppy and the boys make great photos together...THANK YOU!!!
