November started things off for a super busy couple of weeks for us. I still can't believe how quickly I got so far behind on here again. These were some things we were doing around our place 'back then'.
I turned Joss' old green bed into a set of dressers for them in their room since they had their new bed. I still want to get some better pictures of it up on here, it has been GREAT in their room.
For the dresser, I took the two sides of drawers and stacked them together, added a 'decorative 2x4 top' on it and made a couple cabinets on the bottom sides.
I left each little man a note from Mommy too. They are all about drawing hearts for us and for each other, so I thought they'd like one painted inside their cabinet.
They did!
By the way Dad, thank you for all the awesome tools and random hardware you gave me a couple months ago. I'm pretty sure I have used every single thing you sent me home with at least once in some form or fashion. Especially working on the shed :)
I wanted to paint the whole dresser a bright yellow or red or some bold color. However, my last few bold color attempts haven't given me the feeling I've been looking for afterward. My sister-in-law, Heather, suggested I try a gray and I'm really happy with the gray. It's not plain ole white, but it's not too overpowering either. I just can't help but throw color in when I can though, an I personally love the little circle accents on the doors and the bright stripes :)

As all the others, it isn't perfect by any means, but I LOVE how this turned out.
Adds great storage to their room since I've taken away their closet with the cubby system now. I need to do a full room post, but I want to add a few more little things that will only matter to me before I do that.
We haven't been working on the inside alone, there's always, ALWAYS, work waiting for us outside too. Did you notice the cars that are in the photo below in the picture above? They are sitting there (specifically placed there) watching Emit on the swing :)
I'm actually really surprised this swing set has lasted an entire year already. Between our little guys and the boys next year I wouldn't have guessed it would have made it through the summer. But it has, may not make it through this next summer... but even if it doesn't we have gotten our money worth.
This is the earlier stages of the shed still. I wish I could say we were finished by now, but we're still moving at snail speed around here on it because work has gotten so busy. So goes life, right? When we have the time to do this, we didn't have the money... now we have the money, but not the time.
The kids have all had fun climbing on their new toy :)
I also started a garden a couple months back. I've already enjoyed some of these green beans by now, and then some bugs destroyed them :( But I just planted some new ones in the ground yesterday... here's to more fresh veggies that we grow ourselves!
Green beans... tomatoes....
lettuce....
carrots...
cilantro...basil...corn... sweet peppers... those were a few of our first round of planting.
The boys are being sweet and loving on their toys. Emit is distressed (a common state for this little guy) and is claiming that, "Joss has mill-e-uns (millions) and I don't."
No worries, we found the stash with the rest of them so he was satisfied quickly. Joss wanted his select few and he was happy.

Creative, busy and never a dull moment! Wow, at all you have going on...makes me tired watching the process of everything!!! Glad the boys can still enjoy the simple activities and fun with the not so hazardous zoo animals---love them being sweet!!!
