You & Me Goin' Fishin' in the Light

We wanted to try our hand and deep sea fishing over at Long Island one day. It's our nearest island outside of the Exuma Cays. It's about 25 miles to our east. We left the harbor as the sun was coming up. Talk about a peaceful way to start the day.
I love the interaction between the boys in these few photos. So many possibilities of the many little things they tell each other to get a few laughs.

More than likely the words poot, poop or boongie appeared in the dialog.
How can people not believe in God?
Momma and her boys!!!
He knows how to keep me happy... hot coffee on a cool morning on the boat :) And isn't he so handsome!!!
I knew we'd be trolling a lot, so we brought along some school work to do on the boat.
My perfect little student!
Chris reeled in the first fish of the morning.

And I got to reel in the next one.
The wind picked up a lot while we were out there. We decided to have lunch at Cape Santa Maria on Long Island. GORGEOUS location and very friendly staff!
And in Dallas' opinion, the best burgers in the Bahamas.
Daddy had the camera :)
Sticky Note: We've been working on tying shoes, but we've also been working on untying them too. One day Joss was in his room working on getting them untied so he could put them back on and he came out running all excited. He said, "Mommy, I was untying my shoes and I got stuck and I couldn't get it so I prayed and talked to God in my head and asked him to help me get it lose. And it worked! He helped me!"
He was so excited that God helped him get his shoestring lose. I thought that was so sweet. For the few days following that (which was a couple of weeks ago) he was telling everyone about it. Then just the other day, we were talking about asking God to help us with something (I can't even remember what we were praying for at this point) and Joss said, "Yeah, He can help us just like he helped me with my shoe string that day." :) CHILD LIKE FAITH!!! Why is it so hard some times?

After lunch we had to run around and explore the grounds a bit.

And where should we go but to the cool trees?
And these really were cool. They had faces and everything :)

This picture of Joss below makes him look so grown to me. It's like a glimpse of him as a teenager or something. Crazy!!!
Emit was pondering life as the waves crashed on shore. At least that what it seemed like.
I forget what he was pouting about here, but goodness he is such a cute pouter.
Joss was giving daddy some good hugs.
"I LOVE YOU!" I think he was happy on our little fishing trip.
Showing me the heart he made me :)
I love you too Sweet Boy!!
Just another monster truck track.
Making tracks...
Look what we did!
"He's a Daddy and he knows it!" And so stinking cute--oww owwww Baby!!!

On the way back we headed up the lower tip of Little Exuma down near Sandy Cay. This is the area that the Pirates of Caribbean 2 & 3 movies used to film some scenes.
This is also the area I want to head out to for our next family camping trip.
These waters are just gorgeous! And so is this little fella here :)
These guys are such SNACKERS!!! I should have know they would be with the way they used to nurse as babies. We never made it passed 2-3 hours until after they were each a year old. They ask for snacks all day long though. It wouldn't bother me as much if they would EAT their meals too, but they just want their snacks. Joss is getting really good about trying other foods and actually eating his food, but Emit is still extremely picky.
We each had a fish to show for our day out.
We sent this photo below to the local fishing report with Harbourside Marine in Nassau and they sent it out in that week's newsletter :)
I just love how the sizes of the fish worked for our little trio.
