Another fun day in Exuma! Ann Ligon and I went fishing with Dallas and our boys. We had a quiet morning and were just about ready to head in and WHAM....I think we ended up with 7 in about 45 minutes... Exciting fun! Check out his little video for it....
On one of Dallas charters around this time, they come upon our dolphin family in the harbor... ALWAYS exciting to see them. Dallas had the camera ready and got some great footage of the swim. This was a still shot we got from the video.
And here is the video he put together with it... another GREAT one if you ask me :)
The private school in town had a Fun Day at the park to raise money for the school. There was a brand new car in the raffle that deep down inside I thought just might have our ticket number as the winner :) It's okay to be a wishful thinker, right?
They had a bouncy castle, cotton candy, balloon animals (and swords), coke, food...lots of goodies to keep the boys happy. It's really fun getting out and doing these things now because we know so many more people around the island. Still tons of folks we don't know, but Lord willing we will continue to expand our group of friends and acquaintances.
They were so cute with their knight/pirate swords and belts running all over the place swinging them.
Emit was happy as can be to just let his ride on his hip in the holster, but Joss was running and gunning with his the whole time. Or at least until it popped and the tears began to roll. And no, they weren't my tears although for some reason I do have these long hatred and fear of balloons popping near me. Maybe it has something to do with my older sister chasing me around the house when we were little with a balloon and a sewing needle threatening to pop it if I didn't do what I was told ;) (ha ha.... gotcha sis)
I have to keep a tight leash on Joss when we're out like this especially because he does this Ninja Moves thing these days and does air kicks and punches and slices and all kinds of crazy moves really fast. He rarely is trying to hit anyone or actually touch anyone, but he goes running up to kids (he doesn't know) and 'showing them his moves' but from the outside looking in, it looks like my kid is running up to the others and just freaking out and about to hit them.
He really isn't trying to be mean at all. Just wants to show off his cool moves that he is so proud of, but I'm so afraid some other kids are going to assume he's coming at them to bully them and then they are going to just haul off and hit him. I finally got tired of warning him, and unfortunately I think it may be something he will have to learn the hard way. He has gotten a little better with it, but he still can get very invasive of personal space at times. If you see us out and about...just know it is a 'work-in-progress' :)
These balloons swords were great, and totally harmless because nobody was able to really swing them hard. All the little boys around the park were having fun being pirates and knights and all sorts of BOY characters.
Joss also has this 'monkey run' he likes to do. He'll run on all fours but while he's running he flings his head back and forth really crazy-like. I'm constantly telling him to be careful and watch out for his head on our tile floor. And this is why I tell him that....
Poor boy...unfortunately, we get lots of these bumps on our noggins.
I'm eating up my mom and dad's wifi hotspot data, so that's all for now...
