Picking up where I left on in Eleuthera. The men tried to do a bit of spearing, but it wasn't a very successful trip. We weren't that close and able to access a really good spearing spot this week, so that part of the trip was a little bit of a disappointment for the 'slayers' on the trip.
The group picture in the middle of this one above me here where everyone is dressed up for a mystery dinner. This has become pretty common on these trips, and a part that I always avoid if at all possible. I enjoy taking pictures of everyone doing it, and seeing the role playing, but I personally just cannot relax enough to enjoy them. I get so 'stressed' with trying to get my character role down and the thought of acting just intimidates me, so I gladly volunteer for kid duty or bedtime duty or whatever on these nights. Not really sure where this phobia comes from, but it's there nonetheless.
A couple days of the week were spent driving (for hours) to explore the long island. The place above is called the Glass Window. The man-made concrete bridge was built when a natural arch in the land was destroyed by a powerful hurricane years ago moving giant boulders down the land a ways into the sea. It's a big attraction because one side shows you the beautiful light aquas of the Exuma Sound and the other side is the deeper shades of blue of the deeper Atlantic Ocean. Pretty cool spot!
Preacher's Cave, above, is well known for its spot of refuge where some of the first English Settlers stayed after being shipwrecked on a shallow reef nearby. The boys had fun looking for dragons in the cave :) The picture to the right of the pink flowers is of a giant bee hive that was way up on the outer edge of the cave.
This group shot below shows the members on this trip of the original chaos cruise, when Dallas & Natalie were just tykes themselves. From left to right: Dallas, Andy (Papa), Nancy (Nana), Joanna, Bob & Natalie
What is a day out in the hot Bahamian sun without some 'flavorless' Superman Icecream??? I think Joss has finally discovered that there are much better tasting flavors out there to enjoy and that the best part about this ice cream is the colorful fun going in your mouth AND coming out the other end ;) Too much information??? Ah, you'll survive... this is my world and boys love to talk about poop, especially GREEN poop!
