"Lizards, snails and puppy dog tails"....ain't that saying the truth with Boys :) If they see a critter, they want to pick it up, no matter what. In this case, I didn't blame them. It was a cute itty bitty frog. Joss LOVES animals. I wouldn't be surprised one little bit if he were to become a Vet or a Zoo Keeper or Dolphin Trainer or something along those lines one day when he grows up. Although, he wants to be a NINJA! We'll see ;)
We had a few more fun outside days before the boys and I headed back home this summer. We like to get creative with stuff, so you never know what game or activity we'll be doing. This day we snorkeled in the pool... you know for all the hidden jewels and matchbox cars scattered across the pool floor.
I had to paint rocks with them. First, because they loved picking through the rocks around my parents little pool and finding ones that were their favorites. Second, because I myself loved painted rocks as a kid. I even tried to sell my masterpieces on the side of the road. Some kids like to sell lemonade or sweet tea... no way, not me. I went for the really 'useful' product such as a painted rock :) Hopefully the product I sell to people nowadays is a bit more appealing at www.outislandexplorers.com!

Next on the list of activities was ROCK PAINTING!!!!

Of course the Rock Painting turned to Emit Painting really quickly :) But I also had a few of those little wooden toys you can get at the store for them to paint too... I think they liked those the best. Next, we made some Super Hero Capes! We did the capes quickly, but we'll get to the painting/personalizing of them a little further down. I just love my brave little heroes watching over and protecting CC as we head to Chick-Fil-A for lunch!

They were totally convinced that the capes helped them climb higher, jump further, run faster...do everything a little bit better than when they were just 'plain ole boys'. I try to reassure them that they are many things, but "plain ole boys' is not one of them.
I made myself a cape too to wear around and we made one for Xander too. I think we all had fun pretending to be a little stronger than our normal selves :)
The boys are always a big hit in the nursing homes and assisted living places. Just that young spirit and high energy seems to be so contagious to all the residents. They are always such sweet boys too. They had a blast exploring the little park and path area where we could sit outside with Granny.
Emit is sporting his SUPER EMIT cape and Joss is climbing every tree in sight.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANNY!! We love you so much.
I love the picture of my hand, my mom's hand and my granny's hand...3 generations. Would have been 4 if I could have gotten one of the boys to let me see their tiny little hand. Joss' upside down shot above is one of my favorites in the bunch :)
They are so happy to be out, playing with rocks, climbing in trees, poking with sticks, digging in dirt. I love my dirt-critter-bug-loving dudes!!!
Peek-a-Boo!

It's been a while since I've peeked over here. I just had to say that your boys are SO handsome! They are going to be heartbreakers! And it looks like your mom is doing better? I hope so. Glad that you could be there for her. :)
