The Knowles Family now has a DOG!!!!! Dallas wasn't really keen on the idea, but the boys and I managed to twist his arm enough to get permission... that and the fact that I found her for really cheap on Craigslist with all her shots and the right age for us to bring back with us. I definitely wanted a small dog because I knew she would spend a lot of time being held by our boys, going in the boat and hanging out inside. I'm so glad she's little. She's a Chiweenie... part Chihuahua part Dachshund. The boys love her to pieces.
MEET ZOE!
Our first afternoon with her, she spent her day zooming around the yard chasing the boys in the gator. They were instantly in love with her because of her speed. So we gave her a little middle name too...Zuma. She is full of life, spunk, energy, and terrified of everything around her ;)
Pool fun...gator fun.... doggie fun.... what more can these two ask for?
The boys wanted to take a picture of me with my phone, which made me sad at first because it made me feel like I wasn't paying them enough attention. After seeing all the pics on the phone that I sent to daddy... I realize I was enjoying the moments still and they weren't being neglected by any means.
I adore these pictures of the boys with Zoe below. They were so happy that she was small enough and that they are strong enough to pick her up like this. Thankfully she is pretty patient and allows them to tug and pull and mash and love on her quite a bit.
We took her to pick out some pet supplies... the boys thought this was really cool. I realized really quickly that I did not. Two kids, crowds of cars and people PLUS a skiddish little doggie... not my cup of tea!
This photo just above in the middle of Joss. If you look closely, you'll see his little cut right beside his eye. Quick story of instant insanity. I took the boys in a store to use a coin machine to turn all our coins into bills. So that bought me a couple minutes of entertainment. Then as I was getting my receipt for the coins, Joss was walking toward the register and manages to walk right into a buggy and that's where he got this cut. He was screaming (I know it hurt, and I was compassionate), and then seconds later, Emit somehow runs into me and hits something I was carrying really hard on his head and he starts screaming. Literally 15 seconds and I've got two screaming boys on my hands and the whole store is gawking at me like I just punched both my kids. I just knelt down, pulled them both in and let them cry for a minute so they could calm down. It was CRAZY though how fast they both went from being happy and excited over the coins to being in tears and pain and need of consoling.
We were dog sitting my cousins little dog the weekend we got Zoe, so they boys were on cloud nine with all the little dogs to play with. They were thrilled that Zoe would climb on the playhouse and slide with them. It helped secure it for me that she was a keeper :)
